Story #6 of 6 will take us from Friday night to Saturday morning as we take a look see πŸ‘€ at the 2-1 victory for Boys πŸ‘¦ Soccer over Martinsville.

The Hill – Forrest Johnson and Jeremy Puckett celebrated Senior Day with their six graduating πŸŽ“ players and then continued the party πŸ₯³ with 80:00 solid minutes of Soccer against the visiting Martinsville Bulldogs, securing a 2-1 Three Rivers District victory.

Martinsville came to The Hill with just 11 healthy players, and Carroll County took advantage of the fact that the Bulldogs were unable to substitute players.

Sophomore Hector Castro launched a rocket πŸš€ toward the back of the net at 23:10 of the first half. The Cavaliers dominated the time of possession from start to finish, and at 4:10 of the first half, two of the seniors teamed up to push the lead out to 2-0.

Evan ( EJ) Conner lobbed in a perfect pass from the sidelines, and Landon Horton took care of the rest by putting the biscuit in the basket.

The score remained the same, thanks in part to the goalkeeping of William Bella. Bella stopped βœ‹οΈ more than one point blank shot. Fernando Ruiz matched the efforts for the Cavaliers, keeping the Dawgs scoreless until 8:37 remained in the match.

Martinsville trimmed the score down to 2-1, but the home crowd went home happy after Carroll County ran out the clock ⏰️ shortly after 9 pm.

Carroll County High School dug themselves a hole πŸ•³ early on Friday and just couldn’t quite dig themselves out of it, falling 9-3 at Floyd County in a Three Rivers District play.

The defense proved to be the downfall as our Lady Cavaliers committed a season high six misques. Spotting the Lady Buffaloes πŸƒ six runs proved to be too big of an obstacle for Head Coach Rick Nester and the troops.

Addie Greene tried her best to help her own cause, collecting two of the four Lady Cavalier base hits. Natalie Burress and Laiken Burnett picked up the remaining base hits, and the trio of Bayleigh Allen, Burnett, and Raylee Goins drove in one run apiece.

The Junior Varsity Lady Cavaliers had the night off as Floyd only has a Varsity team.

The remaining schedule for varsity…

Story #3 of 6 is about the Lady Cavaliers, Senior Night, Mike Turner Photography, and a dump truck 🚚 full of goals !

Six was the magic number for Adrienne Harris McGuire and her Lady Cavaliers on Friday night at Tommy Thompson Field !

Our second year coach had had a senior class of six, and we celebrated the group after the match.

Martinsville arrived on The Hill with only six healthy players, one under the minimum required to play an official match.

The Lady Cavalier coaching staff was six deep as McGuire was surrounded by Shena Parnell, Brittany Kinney, Karmen Smith, Natalie Harris, and Brett Petty.

With the official outcome being a forfeit, the two head coaches tweaked a little bit of this and a little bit of that so that the ladies could still see πŸ‘€ some action 🎬.

McGuire lent some of her Lady Cavaliers to Martinsville Head Coach Alton Moore, and the match was on. The six seniors enjoyed the opportunity to roam the pitch together, and after 40:00, the Lady Cavaliers led 9-0.

Twenty minutes was put on the clock ⏰️ and then CCHS added four more goals to the total before the officials halted the contest at 13-0.

Alexis Sheffey switched from keeper to forward and in the closing 2:00 of the first half, she became the six of six seniors to put the biscuit in the basket 🧺.

Story #2 of 6 is about Casey Burcham and the Burcham Bunch winning at the Buffaloes πŸƒ home park !

Give Floyd County credit for matching zeroes with Peyton ” D1″ Spencer through the first five innings, but the Burcham Bunch eventually broke through and coasted to a 7-0 Three Rivers District on Friday night.

Dalton Busick launched a 3-run bomb πŸ’£ to break the game open.

Head Coach Casey Burcham took the time to share his thoughts on his latest victory !

” Thought we finally found an approach at the plate late in the game.  Dalton hit a big 3 run homer in the 6th to extend the lead.

Peyton threw another great game.  He also recorded his 100th strikeout tonight for his career. “
