Great news is that Vickey Ritchie was back at Special Olympics Basketball 🏀 practice today, but sadly, now I’m gone for a bit. That part of life is discombobulated but we will be reunited, just like Peaches 🍑 and Herb sings about !

Vickey timed her much needed hiatus with the waxing of the gym floor at Hillsville Elementary School. Coach was quick to point out the shine !

There is nothing that I’m involved with in Carroll County that is more important to me than being the wingman to our Angel 😇 on Earth 🌎.

We have dialed it back on the number of things we are chasing and, in turn, having more energy for the folks that we know enjoy interacting with us !

Keep being awesome, Coach, and I will be back before you know it !

Congratulations to the Slaughter family ! Very kind women and her equally kind Kiddo having a grand time at the State Special Olympics meet !!

Sherry Slaughter is a beacon of light, and her disposition lights up the clubhouse out here at Olde Mill Golf ⛳️.  Haley brightens up a room with her smile, so I’m sure that the return trip from Richmond was an absolute delight.

It’s a confusing process to be around for a Sunday afternoon but not have Vickey Ritchie to hang out with. Thankfully, we still have Travis Osborne and his Bible Verse of the Day!

” Gone Fishing 🎣” is the mental sign I envision hanging on the imaginary door 🚪 to Vickey’s office.

  I will have to find a filler for the time, but whatever it is I come up with, it won’t be as fulfilling.

Today’s Good Guy 👦 Tip of the Cap goes to Patrick Smith ! One of our leaders / partners in our Special Olympics Basketball 🏀 family !

Patrick Smith is just another example of what a OneofUs.Care person looks like, and the energy that he brings to our group is magnetic. Most people have the ability to go the extra mile for their own, but it’s harder to find folks who are willing to do the same for others.

One Team….

Everyone who enters Vickey’s world 🌎 has a roll to play, and Patrick provides the broad shoulders. Watching 👀 him yesterday afternoon was easy on the heart ❤️.
