Carroll County High School entered the match tonight versus Radford, knowing that the team had to sweep its final two matches in order to reach the Regional tournament.

The Cavaliers allowed a late goal, and the 1-0 deficit was just minutes away from ending their season.

Carroll County Junior Varsity Cavaliers Claim Victory Over Christiansburg Junior Varsity Blue Demons


Carroll County Junior Varsity Cavaliers were triumphant over Christiansburg Junior Varsity Blue Demons 4-1 on Tuesday.

Carroll County Junior Varsity Cavaliers got on the board in the first inning after Jayden Wright tripled, scoring one run.

Carroll County Junior Varsity Cavaliers added one run in the third. Jace Dolinger singled to center field, making the score 2-0.

Jayden Wright earned the win for Carroll County Junior Varsity Cavaliers. The hurler surrendered four hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out two and walking one. Landon Fairley took the loss for Christiansburg Junior Varsity Blue Demons. The right-handed pitcher went four innings, giving up four runs (three earned) on eight hits, striking out three and walking two. Chase Hart collected the save.

Carroll County Junior Varsity Cavaliers accumulated 10 hits in the game. Alex Hawks and Bryce Nicholson each collected two hits for Carroll County Junior Varsity Cavaliers. Jayden Wright, Eli Busick, Jace Dolinger, and Bryce Nicholson each drove in one run for Carroll County Junior Varsity Cavaliers. Carroll County Junior Varsity Cavaliers turned one double play in the game.

Gatlen Good and Landon Fairley each collected two hits for Christiansburg Junior Varsity Blue Demons. Bryson Dow led Christiansburg Junior Varsity Blue Demons with one run batted in. The infielder went 1-for-4 on the day.

Carroll County Junior Varsity Cavaliers play at home on Wednesday against James River Junior Varsity Knights in their next game.
