Everyone familiar with tournament play knows that the #4 – #5 match-up is a coin toss. Last year, the Cavaliers finished further up the food chain, which allowed Bill Worrell Field to host the first two rounds. This year, the Cavaliers will have to be road warriors , beginning with a contest at the Warriors’ home field.

Peyton Spencer is having a tremendous season by any standards and with an arm like his a team always has a fighting chance. The next thing that Coach Burcham has going in his favor is the six young men who want to keep playing baseball in a Cavalier uniform.

Wearing the Cavalier jersey is an honor and not one that will come around again for the six seniors. This group will not go quietly into the night.

The third reason why our Cavaliers will hold their own is their fan base ! Have gas ⛽️ 💰, will travel. The Burcham Bunch continues to make strides in the right direction, and hopefully, tomorrow night will be the next example of just how focused they are !

Carroll County High School 🏫 Boys 👦 Soccer needed to close out with consecutive wins at the end of the regular season in order to punch 👊 their ticket 🎟 to the 🕺dance 🕺that is Regional tournament play. Done and done, and that earned the Cavaliers (8-6-2) the #8 seed.

Awaiting our Cavaliers tomorrow night will be the top-seeded Magna Vista (15-2-2). March 18th was the date when the Warriors took the pitch against Glenvar, and the two teams played to a 1-1 tie that day.

On paper, this match would appear to be one-sided, but here are some things you should know. Forrest and Company started out 0-3-1 before catching fire 🔥 after the slow start.

Six seniors are set to lace up their spikes at least one more time with the same goal , just keep playing !

The old saying about the Lottery, you can’t win if you don’t play fits here. Yes, the Cavaliers will face long odds tomorrow, but you can not win a regional tournament game if you don’t earn the right to play !

Our Cavaliers did indeed earn the right to play !

Carroll County High School Girls 👧 Soccer is a program on the rise, and they have a 12 – 4 – 1 mark to prove that point. But both Soccer teams that wear our colors compete in a next level Regional.

  How tough is the bracket on the Girls side ?

Cave Spring and Hidden Valley are co-favorites to win the Class 3 State Championship in the coming weeks. Tough enough for you ?

The group of young ladies that will take the pitch tomorrow night have been tremendous ambassadors for Head Coach Adrienne Harris McGuire, but they have some unfinished business that they would love to take care of before leaving The Hill.

Alexis Sheffey has recorded more shutouts during her career than any keeper in program history, and Callie Harris continues her climb up the All-Time scoring and assists leader. But this group is far from a two man band, and we start the list with the two remaining Senior Captains.

Savannah Swecker has grown into quite the offensive threat in a short amount of time, and Jacqueline Arellano-Torres has a gear ⚙️ that most others simply will never see. The quartet willed the team to three wins in three days last week when anything else would have ended their season before graduation day.

Carroll County High School is making noise now in the Three Rivers District, but the unfinished business is making a strong showing on the road in Regional tournament play.

The final score tomorrow night in the Falcons Nest 🪺 can not take away from what this group has accomplished, not even a little.

But if our Girls 👧 find a way to sneak past the home team tomorrow night, we will all understand what a giant leap for the program it will be !

It turns out that Emma Harman will have some Lady Cavalier company on the Diamond 💎 down in Dobson, North Carolina, next season !

Miller will follow in the footsteps 👣 of recent Carroll County graduate 🎓, Emma Leath and will do so alongside her current teammate, Emma Harman.

The bonus part of the signing for the Miller family is the campus is just south of Mt.Airy, so the family will be able to split time in supporting  both Holly and the Twins.

Congratulations 🎊 to Holly and the entire Miller family !!!

Tomorrow is the day that a large number of Cavaliers return to action 🎬 in hopes of extending their seasons and, in some cases, their careers. We will take a look see at the matchups a bit later…..
