The game that wasn’t played on Tuesday night allowed Big Sis to join Half Pint at the Banquet down in Mt.Airy…

Proud Mom and Awesome Big Sister, Shelia Harris, and Adrienne Harris McGuire.

Tuesday night was supposed to be the back half of the Carroll County – Floyd County Girls Soccer ⚽️ series. But as the Lady Buffaloes πŸƒ finished out their initial season, the team chose not to play the match.

Β  Carroll County improved to 11-4-1 on the season with the forfeit win and now head into the season finale versus James River in need of one more victory to clinch a spot in the upcoming Regional tournament.

With no match to play but a monster sized one on Wednesday, McGuire held a practice for her Lady Cavaliers, and then when it concluded, Coach made the drive down to the First Baptist Church β›ͺ️ of Mt.Airy.

McGuire has a wide range of skills in her bag πŸŽ’ and to list them all would take a hot minute or two. But know this about our second year coach, where Adrienne excels the most is in her role as Big Sister to Jan & Half Pint !

The tale of two victories at Tommy Thompson Field as Junior Varsity dominated from start to finish while Varsity sprinted in a manner that would have made Carl Lewis proud ! Carroll County sweeps the Bobcats

Congratulations 🎊 to our JV squad !

Carroll County High School entered the match tonight versus Radford, knowing that the team had to sweep its final two matches in order to reach the Regional tournament.

The Cavaliers allowed a late goal, and the 1-0 deficit was just minutes away from ending their season.

Stop βœ‹οΈ #1 – Back on The Hill is Tommy Thompson Field for the end of Boys πŸ‘¦ Varsity Soccer ⚽️… What a comeback victory for our Cavs !!!!!!!!!!

Wild 20 minutes, to say the least !

Both teams will board the bus 🚌 tomorrow for the long drive up to Buchanan, and thanks to a mad dash to the finish, the game means as much as it possibly can !

The Burcham Bunch continues their push to climb the Regional tournament ladder πŸͺœ, defeating Christiansburg 8-3 at Bill Worrell Field !

Colby Goad,  closing out the latest victory

” Big 5th really broke it open for us. Peyton threw another stellar game, Colby came in and shut the door in the seventh. I’m very proud of our fight tonight. Things didn’t go our way early, but we responded well. Great team win. On senior night tomorrow against James River.”

Thank you, Coach Burcham !
