Friday was the first full day of Super Regional play, and while the A is for Arkansas, it could also stand for Atmosphere !

Congratulations to the Tennessee Volunteers on making it to the College World Series after sweeping the University of Georgia.

The other 7 Best 2 of 3 series are at 1-0 and both Texas and Oklahoma find themselves in an unusual place entering today as the two powerhouses face an elimination game.

In a lifetime of being at a softball diamond πŸ’Ž, yesterday was an absolute first for me. While I have been at a larger venue out at the College World Series, I have never experienced the atmosphere and patience that I witnessed from the Razorback fans.

First Pitch took place at 11:05 Central time in front of a crowd measured at 3,196. Forty-five minutes later, the grounds crew covered the infield with a tarp.

The rain delay lasted four hours and ten minutes, not a typo. When play resumed at 4:00 pm local time, the crowd was there minus just a few people.

Arkansas turned a 3-2 deficit into a 14-5 victory over Duke, but the story was the crowd. They were energetic from start to finish, and they had set routines to respond to every single thing that took place!

They even borrowed from Wrigley Field by throwing the Duke home run balls back onto the field. They made their normal Pig sounds and even wore colorful hats when certain players stepped to the plate.

The SEC is not just about football anymore, and the NIL has changed life as we know it. The league secured nine of the 16 spots for this weekend, with three of the pairings being SEC vs. SEC.

Arkansas has never made it out to OKC, but that could change today when they start back up at 4 pm. I can only imagine what that celebration would look like.
