The second half of the honor π for being voted as a Best of Preps winner is the full page ad that both of our Student Athletes will receive. It felt like a natural thing to do in regard to the Photo. Let Mom(s) choose one that Best reflects how they would want their child to be remembered.
We have two very distinguished Cavaliers that represented The Hill around the clock. Wyatt with golf, swimming, and baseball while Callie played volleyball, basketball, and soccer.
Now for the verbiage to go with the photos…

Congratulations to Wyatt Ogle and his family for being named Male Swimming Athlete of the Year. Thank you for everything you did and the manner that you did it during your time on The Hill.

On a personal note π, thank you to Mrs Ogle for the capture of this photo πΈ

Thank you to Kris Richardson for taking the time to be my plus one and to Ethan Richardson for working non-stop for two days to free up his father.
Thank you to Kim at the Mount Airy office π¬ of the newspaper π° group for working on the ads for the two very impressive kiddos.
Thank you to all four parents involved in raising their children in a manner that allows them to develop into the folks who were honored. Each parent has not only raised their child but coached them up as well.
While I don’t know the Ogle family in the manner that I do the Harris family but I smiled later that night when Wyatt and I crossed paths at Bill Worrell Field when the Cavaliers were closing out their baseball game. It was the end of the very long day, and the fact that Wyatt Ogle was back amongst his teammates.
To recap, two very distinguished Cavaliers were raised by four impressive parents, and I considered it an honor to stand next to them for a night !
