The photo πΈ above is of a bison 𦬠out in St. George, Utah. It represents the entire athletic department of the Utah Tech Trailblazers. The bisons are painted and placed in front of local businesses with this particular one sitting in front of a Chick-fil-A restaurant.
There is room on the Bison 𦬠for every group inside the program because that is what creates the power. Simply put, we are stronger when we are standing π§ββοΈside by side.
Last night π at Cavalier Park, our Lady Cavaliers enjoyed a magnificent Senior Day celebration. How exactly did that happen ? The simple answer is because a group of folks put their best foot forward in hopes of getting a job done for others. The air was full of love and support, created by a small group of people who all said one thing, how can I help ?
Tomorrow morning π here on The Hill, we have a HUGE day planned, and it’s the brainchild of one Kayla Nester. Mrs Nester wears many hats π here, with one of them being the position of Carroll County Middle School Athletic Director.
Tonight is prom, and graduation is just around the corner, so folks have plenty on their plate π½ already. Most are too busy to notice the triangle πΊοΈ of facilities that will be occupied by a slew of younger student athletes, and they will be surrounded by a host of volunteers πββοΈ made up mostly of family members.
Baseball, Softball, and Soccer will each be hosting round robin events that will begin just before nine and end roughly ten to twelve hours later.
Why should this matter ? Let’s start with our current coaches at the top of our coaching tree. Casey Burcham, Rick Nester, Forrest Johnson, and Adrienne Harris McGuire. Each of these four coaches will reap the benefits of having athletes who make it to their teams down the road, being more familiar with both the game and the venue.
Coach Nester is nearing the end of his fifth decade here and might not be here to coach the youngsters, but the other three are just getting warmed up !
The next group of people who are going to benefit from tomorrow include Jeremy Puckett, Adam Nester, Brittany Kinney, and Terry Warf. These four are our current junior varsity coaches, and many of these students will be at their tryouts next spring.

If you missed the big news last week, our Middle School π« Track and Field team, led by Shawn Montgomery and Jon Delp, just captured the Three Rivers District crown π. This Kayla Nester lady is moving the needle on the west side of The Hill, and on Saturday, she will have the opportunity to work on a bigger stage.

Nester can only be successful if she has dedicated coaches who follow her lead.
Let’s start with soccer, where Nester is there for Corey Williams and Brandi Cochran Mitchell working the sidelines. This duo is as dedicated as they come with their focus right now to go from co-ed to having both a Boys and Girls teams.

Information about the day which applies to all three venues.
Round robin tournament for middle soccer, softball, and baseball…all games start at 9:00am at cchs fields. $10 admission. No passes accepted. Concessions are available at all three fields.

Early tomorrow morning π folks will head towards Tommy Thompson Field, Cavalier Park, and Bill Worrell Field. They will hit the ground running as all three venues will need to have finishing touches added.
Tomorrow is a Big Day for a number of people who are willing to spend part of their weekend providing a stage for the next bunch of Cavaliers. If you find yourself looking for something to do tomorrow, you have three venues to choose from !
