Boys Varsity won 2-0
Girls Varsity won 5-0
JV Boys won 7 – 1
JV Girls fell 3-0

The format was a little different than the norm Monday night as both Junior Varsity teams played on The Hill, and the older Cavaliers loaded up the bus π for the ride to the Dawg Pound.
Brittany Kinney and the JV Girls finally returned to action π¬ at Tommy Thompson Field after not playing versus Glenvar, Floyd County, and George Wythe due to them all being Varsity only.
The offense was a little rusty, but the defense fought from start to finish across the sixty minutes. Getting back into the swing of things will certainly help the young team move forward !
Jeremy Puckett and his squad took the pitch at Tommy Thompson Field next. The offensive explosion lit up the scoreboard, much to the delight of the home crowd. Carroll County led 5-0 at the break and finished up with a 7-1 victory over the Bulldogs.
Two of the seven scores were own goals so we will focus on the other five. Jovanni Hernandez put the biscuit in the basket π§Ί from long range, connecting from 35 yards !
Christian Solis – Ruiz added a goal, and the Star π of the Match was young Joni Rosales. Scoring a HAT π TRICK wasn’t enough as Rosales added a helper to boot !
Congratulations π to Rosales and his family !
Speaking π of a HAT π TRICK βοΈ a helper, Callie ” Half Pint ” Harris matched the effort in the Girls match. For those of you counting at home, that is to Hats inside of the past two weeks for the youngest of the Harris girls !
Savannah ” The Artist π¨ ” Swecker added an unassisted goal and sure handed keeper Alexis Sheffey added the final tally with the assist going to Harris.
Forrest Johnson and our Varsity Boys played smothering defense and received enough offense to win 2 – 0. The goals went to Hez Mejia and Judah Collins with the back line and keeper, making sure that two goals were enough.
Both Boys π¦ teams will return to action π¬ on Friday evening on The Hill when James River High School makes the drive down I-81. The Girls π§ Soccer teams will return the favor, playing at the Knights pitch.
