For the non-softball lovers out there, just so you know, this is our Super Bowl… Travis Osborne kicks off our coverage with his take on the Series!

This year’s WCWS has definitely been a wild ride!! And it all comes to an end over the next 2-3 days. I wanted to send you my 2 cents worth, which due to the penny shortage has now been rounded up to a nickel…

As we enter the final stretch it’s notable that we have a repeat of last year’s match-up with Texas and Texas Tech. Texas has definitely had a dominant performance over the past four years and will take the field today as the defending WCWS Champs.

Texas Tech is no stranger to the spotlight either, as they have made the championship game on their first two trips to the WCWS.

With Texas being the defending Champions, and having Teagon Kavan in the Circle, and a powerful offense led by Katie Stewart, they will be “tough to beat”!!

TT is used to “tough to beat” as they swept the #1 Seed Alabama in back-to-back games to make it to tonight.


With the dominance in the circle by both NiJaree Canady and Kaitlyn Terry, along with the Mia Williams long ball, it will definitely make for an exciting WCWS!!

So, to get down to my .05 worth…..
I look for THREE very competitive games with Gerry Glasgow and The Red Raiders of Texas Tech coming out Victorious.

Just after 8pm eastern, the umpire yelled out ” Play Ball “

Second Red Raider at bat yelled, “See yah” with a bomb 💣

Stewart launches a rocket 🚀 with a Longhorn on board in the bottom of the first, now 2-1

Quick pitching change doesn’t slow things down as Texas adds a 2-run triple, now 5-1.

8:31 – exciting 1st inning is finally over with Texas leading 5-1

Top 2nd, TT strands one, still down 5-1

Hitters ruled the 1st, pitching and defense did the same in the 2nd. Off to the top of the 3rd

Quick third inning for both teams, still 5-1

From Travis :

A 4 run deficit against Kavan is gonna be hard to overcome… we shall see 👀 but I thinks he nose something

Mike White = aggressive, now 6-1

At the end of the 4th, Travis says, “Turn out the lights”

Somewhere, I hear Lee Corso saying, ” Not so fast, my friend ”  TT with a 2-run Bomb , now 6-3, Bottom 5th.

TT defensively has settled down, but they still have some work to do.

Top 6th…. quiet for the Red Raiders

Bottom 6th – Texas sneaks another run across on a sacrifice fly.

TTU has three out remaining…

10:18 – That’s a wrap. Teams played the last six innings at 2-2.
