Back in the city of Champions for the final day of the D3 Softball College World Series. The gates will open here in a few minutes with an 11:00 am. first pitch set for game 2 between Redlands and Trine University.
Redlands captured the opening game 11-3 in six innings after spotting the Thunder three early runs. Trine will need to win game 2 to force a winner to take all showdown. The teams will play today in front of 300-400 fans, but it’s worth noting that what they lack in numbers doesn’t prevent them from creating an atmosphere.

Halfway across the country, there will be 13,000 fans in the house and millions watching π on TV πΊ when the Red Raiders face the Longhorns in the opening game of the D1 series. It should be quite the Lone Star π shootout.
Softball has a wide range of fans that go from reluctant ( the only reason that I’m here is my daughter plays this stupid game) to those of us who will watch any two teams play the game.
2,369 miles is the distance from the University of Redlands and Salem, Virginia. The campus is 60 miles east of LAX, and their βοΈ home will be a fun one if they can take care of business against the defending Champs.
June 12 & 13 are the dates that Moyer will host VHSL games as we wind down the high school season.

Its that time of year !
