Welcome to Sunday, June 21st, and we celebrate Father’s Day with the next name for our site. ” The road less traveled”

Fathers Day is a different type of holiday that will mean different things to people.

The majority of people who are male will be fortunate enough to experience the day from both ends of the spectrum. I was one of five children who belonged to Charles Carter and then was blessed to play it forward with five children of my own.

Morning πŸŒ„ Brew

Charles Taylor Carter is no longer with us here on earth, but we rest assured that he is in a better place and is back to doing what he did best, taking care of Mom.

Born and raised on US-58 over in Mecklenburg County on the shore of Buggs Island Lake, Dad was an awesome role model in regard to so many aspects of life. To start the list anywhere, but how he treated his bride, it  would be an oversight.

My personal connection to Jeff and Tammy Tobler was the way Jeff treated Tammy because it took me back in time to the world 🌎 I grew up in. Getting to watch unconditional love ❀️ is a beautiful thing !

Mom and Dad had five children, and the easy punch line would be they kept trying until they got it right! Yes, they did the best they could with the first four, and then God rewarded them with a perfect child….

Dad was so, so many things across his nearly 90 years. He served our country for just shy of 30 years and was a deacon at more churches than I can remember. But the thing that he excelled at was being consistent. He was true to himself each and every day, which made life easier.

Believing in God, Country, Marriage, and family made a day for CWO4 Charles T Carter. When one job didn’t pay all of the bills, Dad would just go get a second one, and sometimes it required a third one. It was an easy example to follow as a child glowing up.

What does ” winning ” on Father’s Day look like ? Is it about who gets you the coolest gift 🎁? To some, it is, and there is nothing wrong with that. But for me, it is about slowing down long enough to show appreciation for the Father you have / had.

Here’s hoping that all of the Dad’s out there πŸ™ will have a Blessed Day and that their children will all take the time to reflect on the one who raised them.

Travis Osborne will wake ⏰️ up shortly, and I will add his Bible verse below. I hope that the Osborne family enjoyed the birthday celebration for the Little One yesterday !

Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
