Carroll County High School Baseball βΎοΈ was a little slow π getting out of the station π this spring as the Cavaliers dropped games against Pulaski County, Northside, and Patrick County in the opening four games.
Last week, the Burcham Bunch traveled up to Northside and evened the score with the Vikings with a thrilling 2-1 victory in extra innings. Peyton Spencer took the ball from Head Coach Casey Burcham that day and went the distance.
Fast forward to Tuesday night when the young man his teammates like to call ” D1″ , toed the rubber once again in a rematch. Last time out, Spencer fell short in a 1-0 pitchers duel, but this time, the Cavaliers brought their hitting shoes against the Cougars.
Chanson Rakes ( 3 RBI) and Camden DeHaven ( 2 RBI) led the offense on a night where a trio of Cavaliers picked up multiple hits. Rakes, Caleb Shaw, and Spencer himself each finished with two hits.
Two losses π have been corrected, and at the rate things are going for the team, Pulaski County could make it three for three !
Both of the younger clubs were victorious on the night as the Nester Nine JV team held on for a 7-6 victory over Patrick County, and the Middle School defeated Grayson County 10-6 in Independence.
Here is the recap from JV
