My older brother Wayne is in town to visit and maybe understand my efforts here. The calendar today shows we are hosting a Middle School Softball game at Cavalier Park, and that would trigger the question, why do some 6th, 7th, and 8 graders playing softball warrant blocking 🚫 off a day ?.

   Everything related to Carroll County Softball, for me, begins  and ends with Rick Nester. The umbrella 🌂 covers the varsity, junior varsity, and, yes, the middle school teams.

Travis Leath, Katie Belton, Carlie Beamer, Terry Warf, Alec Horton, Nick Cushman, and Deana Burcham are all equal parts of the Softball program.

  Wayne had an opportunity to learn about the foundation that Coach and I have built over the past 5+ years. Having insight to how things  progressed over that time helps before we head down to The Hill.

When your platform is that everyone and everything should be treated as equally as possible, you simply practice what you preach.

  Wayne now knows  how Coach Nester reached this point in his career, how strongly he feels about the support he receives from Principal Chuck Thompson, and that he married up !

  All four soccer ⚽️ teams are in action 🎬 today against Martinsville. The pairings are in a different format as the Junior Varsity teams will stay home, and the varsity squads will head over to the Dawg Pound. 5:30 should be the starting times on both pitches.
