For just the second time this season, we opened Cavalier Park with both the Junior Varsity and Varsity set to play, + Laiken Burnett was our Senior of the Night πŸŒ™JV coverage first….

The Hill – Carroll County Junior Varsity returned home to Cavalier Park Tuesday night for the first time in weeks last night, hosting the Lady Cougars of Patrick County. The team was missing their head coach ( illness) and starting pitcher ( moved up for the night) but still put up a good effort against PCHS in an 11-1 setback.

Carroll County was coached by Varsity assistant Travis Leath and held their own minus two half innings. The second and the sixth (final) frames produced nine of the eleven runs.

Kyra Moser led the offense with two of the three hits, and in the bottom of the fourth, she came around to score after a sacrifice bunt from Millie Parker and a throwing error.

Bree Campbell picked up a base hit in the fifth inning but was erased on a line drive double play off the bat of Maeli Parker. The shot from Parker was drilled, but unfortunately, it went right to the short stop.

Aspen Aldred recorded four outs while playing third base, including knocking down to balls headed to left field and finishing the play with a throw across the diamond.

The team was scheduled to play at home against Glenvar on Thursday afternoon, but that game has been moved back until the end of the season.
