Back on March 24th at Bill Worrell Field on The Hill, the Burcham Bunch had an off day against a talented Northside Vikings team. When the Cavalier fans went home that night, they were looking for the license plate of the truck π that ran them over.
Fast forward to Wednesday night, and Peyton (D1) Spencer was once again his dominant self. The problem was that the Vikkings had a stud of their own on the mound, which led to a scoreless game at the end of the seventh inning.
Connor Reece plated two runs in the top of the eighth inning by hitting one where they ain’t, and by the time that Northside had regained control, both Blake Reed and Chanson Rakes had touched home plate.
Northside would answer back with one run in the bottom of the frame, but Spencer would finish what he started.
Head Coach Casey Burcham sounds like he might like to keep the youngster around !
” I’m running out of words to describe Peyton Spencer. He was dominant and in control of the game from the first inning. I love the fight these guys have, and I couldn’t be more proud of their effort and want to this afternoon.”
