Getting to spend 15 quality minutes with part of the Burcham Bunch prior to warm-ups led to the fun photo 📸 of his senior class. The group defines what it is to be a student athlete, and they appear to respect the game and their coach !
The strawberry shortcake 🍰 part of the story made me smile. A few years back, when Softball coach Rick Nester had a team that flirted with double figures in regards to seniors, I suggested letting each player have their own version of Senior Night and then have the big one at the end.
Burcham actually improved on the idea 💡by letting the player choose his favorite dessert 🍨. Tonight, it was Bryce Cochran Night, hence the strawberry shortcake ! I had hoped to circle back by, but baseball ⚾️ finished up before softball .
Peyton Spencer was dealing once again, and the zero in the error column tells you that his defense had his back !
