We wear their logo on our hats at West Virginia Tech University, so point one goes to the Mountaineers.

But, being that the Atlantic Coast Conference is fighting to stay relevant in a number of sports, including baseball, it’s hard not to want the Tar Heels to defend our honors.
Being that I am watching π the game outside of New Bern, North Carolina, tie goes to The Heels. The winner of this game jumps firmly into the driver’s seat πΊ in regards to reaching the Championship series.
The game has moved to the top of the 7th inning and remains knotted at 2-2. UNC jumped out to an early lead, and WVU has answered back with single runs.
Game 2 tonight is the polar opposite of the opener between Troy and Ole Miss. Troy sent the Rebels packing by winning a game(12-8) that often resembled a Church League softball game. Troy and West Virginia are both enjoying their initial trips to the College Baseball version of the Promised Land.

The art of borrowing a photo shows the view of the family for the game. No one should be shocked by the fact that our first family arrived on the early side.
Does a game feel different when you are watching on television πΊ and you know someone who is watching from the stands ? It does for me, and the fun includes trying hard to pick them out of crowd.
Omaha and Oklahoma City are both destinations for many that in regards to college diamonds π but the real fun begins with just how creative one can get in regards to fun and food away from the park ???
What a great play by the WVU catcher on the sac bunt attempt in the bottom of the 7th. Two oops defensively by WVU have set the table for the Tar Heels. Never want to see a game decided by an error. Just like that, Heels have a 2-run triple.
Trip number one involved little children who probably have minimal to zero memory of it, and it was at the old ballpark.
The second time around took place back in 2011, and Head Coach Alan Knight was along for the ride. Great memories, which included an impromptu trip up to South Dakota for a round of golf β³οΈ. Why, because I told him that if we did, he would have a story to tell when he returned to Page County because not everyone knows where South Dakota is on a map…..
Just saw Eric Church again. He looks much happier now that the score is 5-2!
DeHaven has been around the game of baseball βΎοΈ his entire life. I’m excited about the fact that he is out enjoying the show, and he has his family with him ! It made watching the game a little more fun, and if he were to end up in South Dakota, he might run into Tammy Tobler!

I feel better now because his Mamma couldn’t spot them either.
