Carroll County High School 🏫 Baseball ⚾️ enjoyed the day on the Diamond 💎 with the Bobcats of Radford ! Both the Burcham Bunch and the Nester Nine posted run rule shortened victories !

” Team win tonight, Reid and Colby threw it well.  Grady hit a grand slam to kinda break it open late in the game.  Thought we had a better approach at plate tonight.  Proud of the guys.”

Thank you, Coach Burcham !

The JV also picked them up and put them down over at Radford.

Saturday morning 🌄 fellowship at the Team Hotel 🏨 as we adjust to the rain falling here in Columbus, Indiana. Game time now pushed from noon until 2pm.

The new breakdown :

2:00 pm Game Time
1:55pm Plate Meeting
1:30pm IU Columbus Senior Ceremony
1:15pm Tech I/O
12:30pm Field Arrival
12:05pm Departure (could change)
12:00pm Load Vans
6:00am-10:00am Breakfast

The first thing to adjust to here is that the team has a six hour trip back home following the game. Fortunately, our  student athletes can use Sunday as a bounce back day before returning to class on Monday morning.

The integrity of the game is what today is about. The six postseason spots have been decided in the River States Conference for the season, and both West Virginia Tech and IU – Columbus are on the outside looking in. The game today will have zero effect on the postseason, so it would be easy enough to just load up and head back to Beckley.

Integrity is a BIG part of what we do here at WVU-T, so we will do everything possible to get the game played and then head back to Beckley, then for me on to Laurel Fork.

Speaking 🔊 of 🏡, Casey Burcham and Vickey Ritchie are set to have BIG days, and we are hoping 🙏 for the best possible results for both.

Rain 🌧, Rain 🌧, go away, we have a baseball ⚾️ game to play !

Saturday will be SPECIAL for a number of reasons, including Casey Burcham, Vickey Ritchie, and Lawrence Nesselrodt…

Morning 🌄 Brew
The school calendar is blank
Final road game for the season
Casey Burcham and his group will be holding their camp tonight with a true Class Act joining them ! Danny Sheafer comes to The Hill tonight !

The third member of the trio is Vickey Ritchie and our Special Olympics Basketball program as the venture into Shawn Montgomery’s world of Track and Field today !

Speaking of Track and Field – the next story will be the results from yesterday!

Travis Osborne and his Bible Verse of the Day :

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Have a Blessed Day 🙌 !

Meet our Senior Class of 2026 ! It’s always a Great Day to be a Golden Bear 🐻 Baseball ⚾️ Student Athlete !!

The production stage of our Annual Senior weekend ceremony is now entering the final stages, and a great deal of time over the next seven days will go into my ability to take the story of their journey that is coming to the end of a chapter.

Luke, Braeden, Carson, Ben, and Andrew each had the strength 💪 to survive the rigorous classroom demand of college and the equally demanding task of wearing our Golden Bears 🐻 uniform.

These young men come from different spots on the globe 🌎 but managed to blend together on and off the diamond during their time in Beckley, West Virginia.

Next Saturday afternoon at Linda K Epling Stadium 🏟, the challenge will be to find the right mix of syllables to describe the sacrifice made by each member of the group !

Midway is the opponent, but the focus will be on sending out the group with class, the same level of which they displayed on our campus !
