Wednesday, April 22nd, has arrived, ready or not, here it is ! Baseball ⚾️ and Tennis 🎾 are both on the docket for our Cavaliers…

Once a year, the calendar 📅 lines up to have a day to support the hard-working Adam Nester, and that day is today !

Earlier in the season, we had the opportunity to do the same for Varsity Baseball ⚾️ and it created a fun story with some pictures 📸. The Nester Nine is fun to see 👀 / help, so  there’s something to look forward to once 4 pm arrives as the first pitch is set for 5:00.

Travis Osborne and his Bible Verse of the Day :

Howard Mayo and his Motovational Nugget for the Day :

The front half of the day will be spent trying to get the 25-page script for the West Virginia Tech University Senior Day celebration written out. Losing 24 hours with the schedule change applies pressure that would be hard to describe, but such is life.

The Senior Day we create at WVU-T is significantly different than most in that we commit the time to allow the Student Athletes to both celebrate and be celebrated for their efforts.

Before we start the Morning 🌄 Brew, let’s address the baseball ⚾️ from Tuesday night 🌙

Yesterday afternoon would have been Carroll County High School versus Martinsville High School in both Junior Varsity and Varsity Baseball, but two things happened instead. The varsity game didn’t take place because the Bulldogs elected not to field a team this season.

.This left Head Coach Casey Burcham with the choice of accepting a forfeit, finding a new opponent, or just playing fewer games for the season. The timing of the announcement made it all but impossible to find a new opponent.

Adam Nester and his Nester Nine were slated to play at Martinsville last night, but that game was turned into part of a doubleheader later on in the season.

The good news for the fans of both teams is that there will be baseball ⚾️ tonight with Northside as the opposition. The Vikings will host the Varsity up in Roanoke while the JV will look to protect The Hill.
