Tonight at 5:30 pm, Cindy Edwards and Company take to the court for the regular season opener in the 2026 – 2027 season.

Thirty young ladies, eight coaches, and two teams will be on display tonight on The Hill. Tickets 🎟 will be hard to come by, but there are still some good seats available !

Borrowing from David Letterman, we will now roll out the Top 10 reasons for caring about the event tonight!

#10 – Community pride ! After the manner that so, so many reacted on Friday night, showing grace and kindness in the face of adversity, there is a feel-good feeling in the air!

#9 – There’s a better than good chance that you might cross paths with our very own Mr Chris Mabry !

#8 – The opportunity to witness the mothers of the players participating in the introduction line ! Priceless moments, for sure.

#7 – The Concession stand will be open for business. This gives everyone the opportunity to get refreshments and support the school at the same time.

#6 – Besties teaming up to coach our Junior Varsity team ! Teammates and friends back in the day and once again joining forces for the better of The Hill !

#5 – The coaching debuts of Laiken Burnett and Kalee Bunn ! Two more former Lady Cavaliers who have returned to assist ( volleyball term) their former coach.

#4 – The group of Seniors who are set ( volleyball term) to begin their final season of play. Alyssa Lawson, Faith Nicholson, Heidi Painter, Ali Wright, and Katie Beasley.

#3 – Kim Weddle is back once again, building on her legacy that started as a player, one of the best to wear the colors and continues to give back to the sport she loves.

#2 – Tonight is one of just eight times that our ladies will play in our gym this season…

The number one reason for joining us tonight……is Cindy Edwards. Coach has been giving of her time and energy for our children to play the sport she loves!

I take a great deal of pride in assisting Coach by trying hard to frame the evening for each and every one of her players. I’m not sure what is going to happen tonight but there should be electricity in the Air !
