Two great reasons for caring about Carroll County Middle School đŸĢ Volleyball đŸ……

Mel & Ana, after hearing that, they both made the Luray Middle School Volleyball 🏐 team !

Volleyball 🏐 season is here, and here are the teams that we will be keeping tabs on this fall…

Coach Edwards and her five former Lady Cavaliers who will be coaching alongside her this season.

College Teams :

Duke University

Utah Tech

Southern Utah University

James Madison University – Alan Knight will once again be providing ESPN+ coverage this season !

Ferrum College – Half Pint Harris keeps the Carroll to Ferrum College pipeline going, replacing Miss Bunn on the roster.

We will see if any other former Lady Cavaliers are playing this fall…

The last two on the list will include announcing their home 🏡 matches once again.

The wild card in the equation is the CCMS program. Coverage for them has to come from someone within the program. The hope is there, as it is each year, but once again, it is TBD.

The photo 📸 above is the reason why I have an interest in the CCMS program. Those two young ladies will be playing their first season of school volleyball 🏐 and as a proud grandparent, I will be following the season of Luray Middle School.

Five Good Minutes with Mr Brad Nester and đŸŒŽđŸŒ¯đŸŒŽ = Winning on a Friday night 🌙 in Laurel Fork…

Mrs Nester was out of town tonight, so we found a stand-in so that Brad wouldn’t be alone !
Laurel Fork Library shares the parking lot with the volunteer fire đŸ”Ĩ department and community center.

Mr Nester and I have a few things in common, with one of them being neighbors out in Laurel Fork, Virginia.

Tonight was the latest fundraiser in support of the community, and both Linda and I were able to partake. I even managed to steal a few minutes with the man of the hour ( actually 2, 5-7), highlighting the second thing we have in common, an ability to work a room.

The third thing on the list of connections is that Brad took the time to submit a section for our next book 📖 and for that, I’m incredibly grateful.

They will be offering đŸĢ´ dinner up until 7 pm unless they run out sooner.

Thank you to Brad, his stand-in bride and the rest of the folks that worked to make sure the event was a success !

Lin and I both have gym 🏋ī¸â€â™‚ī¸ memberships, and the same with Regal theaters đŸŽĨ.  The back half of the day is earmarked for a Taco 🌮 dinner back in Laurel Fork so there was time for a trip to the gym and then a free movie.

Everyone seeks something different from a movie, and here are my two questions about any movie….

  1. Will it allow me to escape reality for 90 minutes up to 2+ hours ?
  2. Is it a movie that our Coach Ritchie can somehow use as a theme for a Special Olympics Basketball 🏀 practice ?

Today’s answer is yes and yes !!!

Bill Gallimore is someone who simply embraces life here on The Hill ! We share a few things with the leading one, being we are married to our solemates who both happen to be named Linda.

It was Kris Richardson that first introduced me to Bill shortly after we started on our basketball book, and it was the manner he described him that intrigued me. Kris explained that Mr and Mrs Gallimore enjoy and support everything Cavalier.

Over the years, Bill has both followed along and participated in our efforts to package đŸ“Ļ a positive outlook and make a difference in the lives of others.

In the same manner that I smile when I wake ⏰ī¸ up to a message from both Howard Mayo and Travis Osborne, I find comfort in knowing that Bill Gallimore is one of the folks that reads through the stories.

Just like the line about Cowbells, we need more Bill Gallimore !!!!
