Month: August 2026

Thursday, August 6th, is here. Now it’s all about what kind of day you are going to make it !

Travis Osborne and his Bible Verse of the Day :

Luke 16:10 He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.

The high school 🏫 fall teams continue their tryouts today and tomorrow, and then the excitement officially starts for those who make the teams. For volleyball 🏐 and football 🏈, some will land on varsity while others will find a spot on JV, but the dream of being a Cavalier will be fulfilled !

Here in Greenville, four more Little League teams will continue their chase of being the best in the world.

File this one under things that make one smile 😃! That was the tease for a podcast that is about our football team, and in it, there is a reference to The Hill !!!!

I started using that phrase four years ago, and I love seeing 👀 it used elsewhere. It can be used as a point of pride for so many !!

Not on our Hill……

Have yourself a Blessed Day 🙌😇🙏

Rewarding the Little Ones with a Night of watching  the stars of today! Pro Day for AUSL taking place on the campus of East Carolina…

It’s a night 🌙 to remember for the 12 teams that made it to the Little League World Series.
Former JMU Duke, back from the birth of her baby. Teammate of Kate Gordon back in the day.

Minimal tickets 🎟 were made available to the general public, and we were blessed enough to find a pair.

Legendary coaches and modern-day stars of the game gathered together for one night as a reward to the 12 teams that are in town for the tournament.

Team Watley leads 3-2 in the fifth inning, but tonight isn’t about the score. It’s about the Show !

9:18 pm, and that’s a wrap…

6-2 is your final score, but once again, the winner 🏆 is the sport of softball.

Little League games at 1 & 5 tomorrow.

When softball is your sport….you follow the yellow ball !

Mid – Atlantic versus Asian – Pacific in the 10am match-up here on the campus of East Carolina University in Greenville

The game has reached its halfway point with the team from New Jersey leading 3-0 after scoring single runs 🏃‍♀️ in each of the first three innings.

Parking and admission are both free of charge, and golf carts await those who need a ride over to the park.

The players appear much smaller in person than they do on ESPN2.

Game 2 of today’s doubleheader involves a team from Snohomish, Washington, versus a team  from Canada 🇨🇦. When we lived in Lake Stevens, Washington, we were five miles from Snohomish.

This completes a trifecta of a different sort. D1 College World Series is Oklahoma City, D3 College World Series in Salem, and now the Little League World Series in Greenville.

Bottom 4th, still 3-0….

Miles traveled by team with some crazy numbers up there !

New Jersey has broken it open here in their final at bat, now 7-0.  8-0 now

11-0 is your final score, and I feel a little sad for the 10-13 year Olds from Japan. They stayed in the game until the final inning.

1:00 PM – Canada 🇨🇦 versus PNW

1:08 – 1st Pitch, Washington is the visitors.

End of 3rd, Snohomish 4 -0 from a combination of timely hitting and fielding misques. [2:06]

7-0, middle of the 4th inning…

The young lady from Snohomish is racking up K’s at a scary pace !

7-1 as we head to the 6th and final inning.

That’s a wrap for the Day !

Wednesday, August 5th, has arrived, and for that, we are thankful !

Travis Osborne with his Bible Verse of the Day :

Colossians 3:1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

More Softball Little League World Series slated for 10 am & and 1 pm today in Greenville, North Carolina.

Friendly reminder about Bingo Night this Saturday – fundraiser for Girls 👧 AAU Hoops….

Have a Blessed Day 🙌😇🙏
