Sunday, August 23rd is here, and we kick things off with our Morning πŸŒ„ Brew !

Travis Osborne and his Bible Verse of the Day :

Psalm 102:12 But thou, O Lord, shall endure for ever; and thy remembrance unto all generations.

Today, we have four items on the docket to keep an eye on. Two here on The Hill and two more that I find relevant to my thought process.

Vickey Ritchie celebrated πŸ₯³ her 65th Birthday πŸŽ‚ yesterday and she was surrounded by people who love her. That is the definition of a dream Birthday ! She will be back in the gym at Hillsville Elementary School 🏫 today for our Sunday afternoon practice !

They will be playing Men’s tennis 🎾 again today down US – 52. The fact that a professional event is being played just one hour down the road is the sole reason why this is relevant to me.

The back half of the basketball weekend in Vancouver, British Columbia, will take place tonight at 7pm our time.

At Bill Worrell Field, the activities will resume this afternoon. Yesterday afternoon and evening were a great deal of fun, and that was due to the quality of people involved.

Thank you to Brother Osborne for reaching out as he manages to do every day, without fail.

Have yourself a Blessed Day πŸ™ŒπŸ˜‡πŸ™

We conclude a wall 2 wall Saturday with Adrienne Harris McGuire and friends playing soccer ⚽️ south of the border !

Thanks to Marion Harris for sending the photos πŸ“Έ !

They played down in Matthews North Carolina at a complex and played two games today. They have a few weeks off to work on what they need to work on and then they will go back down to the same area and play another day of two games will have 5 to 6 weekends This fall that they will play together along with players from Auburn and other area high schools.

Why did the really old guy limp across the Boulevard ? To hang out with some really cool people at Bill Worrell Field. Might be there again as Mother Nature had her way for a bit !

There is absolutely no doubt about the fact that Bill Worrell Field has a majestic air about it, and you don’t have to do a deep dive to find the source. Casey Burcham is a top shelf coach and person with a magnetic 🧲 feel to boot. Quality people attract other quality people, and the entire Burcham Bunch proves my point.

Yes, the skies opened with one batter yet to take his cuts βœ‚οΈ in the Home Run Derby, and we still have the Alumni Game to play, but know that fun was being had and new memories were being created.

We hope to pick things back up tomorrow afternoon, assuming that the storm doesn’t linger too long.

If you find yourself looking for something to do tomorrow after Church β›ͺ️, there is no charge to hang out with some truly amazing people !

Thank you to Ryan McCafferty of The Carroll News for coming out for the festivities. His attendance was greatly appreciated.
