A couple of days ago, I was watching 👀 the movie ” Draft Day ” with Kevin Costner and Company. The term ” On the Clock ⏰️” was used quite a bit, and it’s fitting for Mr DeHaven as of yesterday afternoon.
The Carroll County golf ⛳️ team practiced yesterday afternoon out in my neighborhood at Olde Mill Golf ⛳️ Resort. It is the official mark of the beginning of a 9-month rodeo that is High School Athletics.
In a lifetime of dealing with Athletic Directors at both the high school and the college level for over five decades, DeHaven is as easy of like as I have found. From the school 🏫 and displaying leadership at every level is an accomplishment that can be a great challenge.
37 years have passed since a freshman attended his first class on The Hill, and First Class has been the manner that DeHaven conducted himself. Now, as we enter the next year of the AD stage of the journey, one would think that the DeHaven family is ready for the next 270 days.

The unofficial number of teams that fall under the jurisdiction of DeHaven is 27. What is the biggest difference between the AD’S in college and high school ? STAFF and MONEY 💰. College has both and high schools do the best that they can with what they have.
The best example might be the buy-out currently taking place at the University of Michigan. We will be fortunate enough to have DeHaven for decades to come, but I’m fairly certain that when our guy steps aside, he won’t get $100 million dollars and golfing privileges as a parting gift.
