Indiana Jones is ready to get back in the saddle for the Colts ! Thanks to Pat McAfee for the knowledge.

It’s not every day that a Zero star ✨️ high school prospect draws this level of attention, but the artist, formally known as Danny Dimes, is once again looking forward to another NFL season.

The Colts were standing atop their division when Jones suffered back to back injuries that ended his best season to date. Getting to be inside Lucas Oil Stadium 🏟 last year for the season opener was a blast as it brought back memories from the years at Duke University.

I have never understood the level of hate that Jones has faced over the years, but I’m still pulling for the best quarterback to wear the colors since Sonny Jorgensen. Bonus fact in that Riley Leonard is on that same list and is back looking to lock down the backup spot.

Yes, Leonard spent his final collegiate season with the Fighting Irish, but can you blame him for making that move ?

McAfee is a Colts Homer,  and rightfully so after his playing career. It has to help Jones from this interview process, but let’s say thank you and move on.

Sunday, September 13th, is opening day, and Lamar Jackson will be leading the Ravens into the stadium 🏟 that Peyton Manning built.

Carroll County has more ties to race tracks than one can shake a stick at ! Ryan McCafferty and Trenton Newman are just two good examples !

Ryan McCafferty is no different than any other sportswriter I’ve met over the years in that he has a favorite place to be. McCafferty, the young man 👨 currently holding down the sports desk at our Carroll News, dreams of spending time at a race 🏁 track, and that led him to crossing paths with recent Carroll County High School 🏫 graduate 🎓, Trenton Newman.

Newman is continuing a family tradition with his efforts at the drag strip. His grandfather has spent a large part of his life in the business, and Newman, well this young man just likes a challenge !

Yes, I love the fact that our logo remains on the nose of the car 🚗 but it’s equally important to point out that Newman seems to be able to tackle pretty much anything that he sets out to accomplish.

His freshman year of college up in Lynchburg is about to get underway, and with his wrestling ➕️ academic workload, time at the drag strip might be a bit limited in the coming months.

But I’m sure that the combination of McCafferty’s love for racing and Newman’s love for everything he pursues should equal one enjoyable read in our local newspaper 📰!

Let’s keep little Sis, Maci, in our thoughts as Kiddo is now receiving the love for 2 from one very proud Mom 👩.

Another season of Strasburg Express baseball ⚾️ is in the Books 📚 as Winchester captures the Valley Baseball League North…

Jay Neal and the Strasburg Express closed out their 2026 summer season with a setback to the Winchester Royals in the Best 2 of 3 North Championship.

15 years since we relocated the Fauquier team to Strasburg, and 11 times the team has reached the Final Four. Seven of the 11 years, they played for the crown 👑 and brought it home four times !

Jay Neal has surrounded himself with family and friends in a community that embraces who they are. It’s always sad when a campaign has reached the end, but the relationships will last a lifetime.

Winchester will await the winner of Waynesboro and Charlottesville tonight in the Championship series.

Thank you for another terrific season of representing the community !

Yes, in all three films 🎥, the lead character is named Sonny. In one of the three, the person who is being portrayed is a real-life Sonny. Matt Damon, Brad Pitt, and Kevin Costner each took a turn at being Sonny.

The challenge today is for people to follow the leading men listed above by being Sunny as in having a good disposition !

Yes, I watched 👀 all three versions of Sonny / Sunny 🌞 yesterday ! Too much time on my hands ? Maybe, but I had to smile when I connected the dots that my three choices were each about Sonny.
