Alex & Trenton both got sickβ¦like bad & could not wrestle against the other Richlands team. Eli & Traven were the only wins for us that match.
Here’s to hoping π that they both get to feeling better soon !
Congratulations to Eli and Traven for securing wins again π
Floyd did not have anyone in the weight classes to wrestle against Eli, Trenton, or Preston. Traven won his match
Against Martinsville, Alex & Preston had nobody to wrestle, Trenton & Jackson won.
Saturday Morning π BrewTravis Osborne and his Bible Verse of the Day :
1 John 4:16Β And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
Today should be a Day of interaction between myself and some pretty neat people ! Shannon Dalton, Kristy Jones, Marion Harris and Travis Osborne to name a few !
Bonus news being that Linda returns tonight from her most recent Medical π appointment over in St. Louis !
Volleyball π Seniors head to FCA All-Star π Game today.
We will have Student Athletes swimming πββοΈ, wrestling and playing volleyball π today. This means West Long, Joi Ogle and Cindy Edwards will be coaching our Cavaliers up!
Safe Travels all around and I look forward π to the Inbox π₯
Ephraim, Utah is the answer to the question of where is Snow β College ???
In the opening game we have the #16 ranked Community College in the Country facing a team that traveled here from Maryland ( Harford). The better question is how does a team from Maryland end up in the middle of Utah ?
Opening Game of the Day !Host team : Snow College Badgers
End of the 1st quarter : SLCC Bruins 29, Harford 4. Harford got plenty of good looks at the basket π§Ί, just couldn’t get them to drop.
Snow College Women will play βΆοΈ in Game #2 versus a School π« from Colorado.
Home Activity Center…
After the two Womens games, the Men will play their half of their Holiday Classic.
The Schedule π for the Day
It’s not the same as watching the Cavaliers because there’s no Isaiah Easter or Half Pint Harris running up and down the floor or Coach Barnes working the sidelines but to a Hoops Junkie, its Basketball.
The two best players for the Bruins are both from France π«π·. Ines Babaya and Tahys Da Silva. Not only are they talented but they are tough. Shooting free throws after losing a tooth on a foul.
Credit to the guests from Maryland as they are playing non-stop !
Stay safe back home π‘ and know that you’re in my thoughts !
There’s always time to do volunteer πββοΈ work, this time for Google !
End of 3rd, Bruins 71, Owls π¦ 20 (17-10 in the quarter )
Game 1 of 4 is in the Books π! 3:22pmGame #2 – Utah vs Colorado as Snow College Badgers host Otero Rattlers…By our count, close to 40 members of the Snow β College Cheerleaders / Dancers !
End of the 1st quarter and its a SNOW Storm β, sorry couldn’t resist… Snow 23-8…
June Olsen (#20) actually grew up here and played at the local High School π«.
Halftime score : Snow β 42-29 (3:36)
Here’s an oops
74-55 after hifhscoring 3rd quarter for both teams (4:14)
Joi Ogle is once again set to lead our Swimming πββοΈ teams through the Winter and hopefully back to the State Meet at the end of the year.
The team results above were provided by Shannon Dalton and we landed a few pics from New Swim Dad, Travis Osborne.
Here’s what you should know about attending a Swim meet. For the most part the events are self governed, a little bit different from say a Basketball game or Football game. Mrs Osborne and Mrs Dalton were both very hands β on last night up in Daleville.
James River High School and Giles HighSchool provided the competition last night π, with the Knights being the host team
The significance of the schedule is that it shows everyone who represented our School last night !
Wyatt Ogle, like Trace Reavis in Golf β³ and Corrie Delp in Track π£ and Field, leads the way in a team sport that is also individualized. Ogle placed 9th in the State Tournament last year and looks to enjoy his Senior season on The Hill.
Last night π was just the tip of the iceberg for both the Boys and Girls Swim teams. We hope to share as much of the journey as we have access to as the year plays out.
If I am going to call West Long the hardest working πͺ Coach on The Hill, I need to add that Joi Ogle runs the happiest program. Don’t think for a second that these Student Athletes aren’t competitive when they race, it just seems like they are enjoying their journey !
