Being that we no longer have Basketball on the docket today, let’s take the time to do a more thorough dive into last nights Swimming πŸŠβ€β™‚οΈ meet!

Joi Ogle is once again set to lead our Swimming πŸŠβ€β™‚οΈ teams through the Winter and hopefully back to the State Meet at the end of the year.

The team results above were provided by Shannon Dalton and we landed a few pics from New Swim Dad, Travis Osborne.

Here’s what you should know about attending a Swim meet. For the most part the events are self governed, a little bit different from say a Basketball game or Football game. Mrs Osborne and Mrs Dalton were both very hands βœ‹ on last night up in Daleville.

James River High School and Giles HighSchool provided the competition last night πŸŒ™, with the Knights being the host team

The significance of the schedule is that it shows everyone who represented our School last night !

Wyatt Ogle, like Trace Reavis in Golf β›³ and Corrie Delp in Track πŸ‘£ and Field, leads the way in a team sport that is also individualized. Ogle placed 9th in the State Tournament last year and looks to enjoy his Senior season on The Hill.

Last night πŸŒ™ was just the tip of the iceberg for both the Boys and Girls Swim teams. We hope to share as much of the journey as we have access to as the year plays out.

If I am going to call West Long the hardest working πŸ’ͺ Coach on The Hill, I need to add that Joi Ogle runs the happiest program. Don’t think for a second that these Student Athletes aren’t competitive when they race, it just seems like they are enjoying their journey !
