Mother Nature is on the prowl, and she has her sites set on Friday afternoon and evening! Adjustments made ahead of time on multiple levels.

West Virginia Tech University Baseball ⚾️ has already seen their Friday game moved to Saturday, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

Carroll County High School Softball was scheduled to host Pulaski County in a softball doubleheader starting at 5pm. with the Junior Varsity playing first.

Now the start time has been moved up to 4:45 and it will be the Varsity team playing first. Holly Miller will have her solo Senior Day with things getting underway prior to the first pitch.

Next on the adjustment list is the Track and Field events planned for consecutive days. Middle School was slated to head down to North Carolina, but it looks like Shawn Montgomery and Jon Delp might have to divide and conquer on Saturday as the Varsity is set to compete at Emory and Henry.

Make sure that you double-check your favorite teams schedule before heading out tomorrow and maybe bring your umbrella πŸŒ‚.

Galax is in the building, and we are ready for a Night πŸŒ™ of Soccer ⚽️ at Tommy Thompson Field !

JV Rosters are in place, and we are ready to announce game 1 of 2 !

Carroll County leveled its record to 1-1 last night with a 17 – 6 over Fort Chiswell High School. We shared our inside the Numbers information last night, but now we have five thoughts from Coach Nester.

#1 – ” We were able to scout them on Tuesday, so we had an idea πŸ’‘ of how we wanted our girls to approach their bats and they followed their instructions from swing number one. “

#2 – ” We were able to score at least one run in all seven innings, I’m not sure how far back you would have to go to find the last time we did that.”

3. ” Emma Harman pitched a complete game and finished with 8 strikeouts and zero walks. 80% first pitch strikes!”

4. ” Our girls did an excellent job of executing our game plan from start to finish.”

5. ” We played well in the field behind Emma as we finished up the night with just two errors. “
