   We were paced at the plate by Britt Berrier and Dalton Busick. Both with 2 hits apiece. Went extra innings. Peyton Spencer also drove in Eli Worrell for the winning run in the top of the 8th. Then Peyton shut the door in the bottom of the 8th.

Complete Team effort tonight.

The Nester Nine ( JV Baseball) just keep on rolling as they remain undefeated on the season after their latest victory. Ace Reporter Donna Nester sent in some pictures 📷 from the latest lopsided victory, 11-1 over Patrick County.

Over in Owensboro, Kentucky our Golden Bears 🐻 kept the post season dream alive by sweeping a doubleheader at Brescia. Four conference games remain with the final two spots in the River States Conference tournament still up for grabs.

A perfect four of four on the night !

WVU-T and Brescia University close out the series with a single game on Friday while CCHS has started the Easter Break.

Today is THE Day for our Golden Bears 🐻 as we need to sweep Brescia University to extend our post season dreams !

The Chase for the final two spots in the River States Conference post season tournament has come down to a pair of weekend series. Brescia, Midway, Rio Grande and WVU-T are all in the mix with six games remaining.

Two of the four teams will head to Chillicothe, Ohio in the first week of May.

Today, our Skipper, Lawrence Nesselrodt will tweak it a bit by saying – ” It’s a great day to be a Golden Bear 🐻, Let’s win 2!

What a wild and wonderful ride as we played seven College Baseball ⚾️ games in just over 48 hours at Linda K Epling Stadium 🏟.

Monday was the final two games in the Baseball Bonanza hosted by our West Virginia Tech University Golden Bears 🐻.

Our goal through this process is to prove that WVU-T and Linda K Epling Stadium can and should be a major player in the World 🌎 of NAIA Baseball. Mission Accomplished by everything that I witnessed !

Fisher College Falcons and our Golden Bears 🐻 split the getaway twin bill. Fisher captured the opener 7-1 and Tech responded by taking the seventh and final game by a score of 11-5.

Final numbers :

Georgia Gwinnett 3-1

WVU-Tech.             3-2

Fisher College       1 -4

The crowd Sunday afternoon was by far the largest of the season, by a wide margin. Our Golden Bears 🐻 highlight came in the ending of a 15 game winning streak that belonged to #2 GGC.

We staged a seven game in two plus days NAIA showcase and it benefited the Schools 🏫 involved as well as the City of Beckley, West Virginia.
