Taking Good Notes 📝, trying hard to swing a Golf ⛳ Club well while raising $$$ for a Great Cause and hanging out with Mr. Taylor Clark of White Elephant 🐘 Beer 🍺 Company

The Best thing one can hope for at a Charity Golf ⛳ Outing is meeting someone you have things in common with. Check goes in that box 📦 in a Big Way as Taylor Clark was an absolute Blessing in addition to being an impressive Golfer.

We are both card carrying members of the Bo Goins Fan Club. It turns out that Bo worked down here at Cross Creek before landing at Olde Mill.

27th year of the event and they have built something very impressive 👏! Pages full of notes and photos to sort through once the round is complete ! Two things that we are HUGE fans of are Faith & Education……Much more to follow!

Sunday afternoon found our Appalachian State University Field Hockey 🏑🏒 in action 🎬 at Wake Forrest

Making the drive 🚗 back from Durham match up for the Noon start in Winston-Salem was easy enough as the rare opportunity to see the Mountaineers play a road game was something you can’t pass up on.

Our new Coach Emily Dinsmore has the team playing with a high level of energy, leading to a 4-1 start on the young season.

Wake Forrest was honoring the 3 Time National Champion team from 2002 – 2004 during the halftime break and one thing jumped out during the Celebration – while the Deacs captured 3 straight Nattys they only won 🏆 the ACC two of those seasons.

First things First – anytime that I’m attending a game with no responsibility I pay close attention to my surroundings. Wow, I am envious of the sound system that Wake was using!!! The clarity and Boom 💥 that came across to the fans was impressive 👏. Not sure what they paid for it but they are getting their money’s worth.

While the final score reads Wake Forrest 3, App State 0, its safe to say that Appy went toe 2 toe with the home team throughout the second half

Trailing 2-0 at the break Appy controlled the ball for the majority of the final 30 minutes. The only score in that time came with just a few minutes remaining when a bouncing ball hoped over Claire Grenis’s outstretched arm and into the net.

Emily took over the Top Spot in the program during the off season and the team has made a smooth transition. Michael Wararl has joined the staff along side Azure Fernsler. The trio has our program pointed upward and the home opener had one of the largest crowds in the programs history.

There’s now 12 days until I will head back down to Boone for our game on the 22nd against Miami of Ohio. The team will make the trek over to Louisville to play Bellarmine in the M.A.C. opener. While the majority of the teams at ASU compete in the Sun Belt, Field Hockey 🏑🏒 plays in the MAC.

4-2 against a solid non-conference slate has our Ladies poised to make some noise in the MAC!
