Beckley, West Virginia – the Home 🏡 office of Golden Bears 🐻 Baseball ⚾️.
The 2025-2026 Roster and correct pronouncing notes….
I believe that Mr DeHaven has some tales about NAIA baseball ⚾️ from his time in school. For the love of the Game has a truly different meaning at this level !
Alex lost his first match by pin and won his second match 11-0…
Keep on, keeping on, Mr Cruz !
From Coach Long :
Lost first one, won second one, wrestle again roughly 4:30pm
Cruz capped off a good senior season. Going 1-2 at the State Tournament ! Unfortunately that brings the 25/26 CCHS season to an end. Back at it on Monday to get the club team ready for the National Tournament in VA Beach at the end of March.
From Coach Barnes :
Unfortunately, We did not qualify for region tournament. .4 tenths of a separated the 10 seed from the 8 seed. Will let you know when our banquet is .
One day after our eight members of the Swim 🏊♂️ team shined in the Pool in Richmond, Alex Cruz and West Long will be representing The Hill today at the Salem Civic Center. One year ago it was Samuel Collins that became the first grappler to punch his ticket 🎟 to the Show for Coach Long.
Cruz is a model Student who is seldom seen without a smile on his face. The fact that he is a solo act today needs to be highlighted by the fact that four others were just one step away from joining him on the mat. Preston Farmer and Trenton Newman on the Boys 👦 side and Amelia Dalton and Khloe Dean on the Girls side.
Best of Luck today Alex, we know that you will represent Carroll County High School 🏫 in a positive manner !
Proverbs 20:7 The just man walketh in his integrity: his children are blessed after him.
Have yourself a Blessed Day 🙌
