It’s Time to head into the Big City on the Hill to Celebrate with Ron and give some money πŸ’° to some Local Causes

After we gifted the 50 copies of the Book πŸ“– to the players, coaches. Parents and contributors we purchased some more for the purpose of giving some Money away if someone could make a minimal donation of $20.00 to either Ron at Omega or Allen Worrell at the Carroll News. Because there are moving pieces to this story I will play Q & A with myself to explain…..A game of 10 questions if you will?????

  1. Why not just sell the Book at stores and on-line ? The Book was created as a Gift 🎁 to those involved in making Carroll County history. It was never intended to make a profit.
  2. Why Ron Cochran and Allen Worrell for Gate Keepers of the Book ? Both of these fine Men are True Friends of our efforts and have been for quite some time. It was an easy decision!
  3. What happens now that Ron has sold his 50 copies ? With everyone donating a minimum of $20, Ron has somewhere between $1,000.00 and $1,100.00 that will be divided up between 4 charities. I have to add that we are matching the $1,000.00 & ours went to Vickey at the Carroll County Special Olympics!
  4. Is Allen Worrell and his Plucky Sidekick David really as Cool as you try to make them to be ? Two really Awesome people who remind me of Kris Richardson and myself. Good Hearts that try to right by others.
  5. Now that Ron has sold his allotment will you take some of Allen’s and move them down Main Street to Omega? I want people to have a reason to stop by and visit Allen & David, maybe smile in their direction 😊
  6. What’s up with the constant wearing of the NHL jerseys ? The set of 32 were collected over the years at the home market of the team of the Day. Today is Calgary Flames day and wow is that a beautiful place. The goal of the jersey rotation is to be more accessible in public if someone wants to speak to me about something that they are proud of.
  7. What is the one thing about the making of the book πŸ“– that will last in your head ? If we had thinned out the number of photos πŸ“· in the Book we could have possibly kept the cost of production down but they were all so much a part of the story.
  8. Most humbling moment during the year long process ? When Nancy told Kris and I that Brandi was her favorite writer in the book πŸ“–.
  9. Can you tell me what is was like to spend so much time with Mr. Kris Richardson ? I am in total awe, been wanting to ask him for his autograph but I’m trying to keep it professional.
  10. Last One – Do you have any regrets about the process ? The only thing we missed our mark on was the hope that going forward we could let groups use it for fundraising. The actual cost of producing the paperback is just this side of $20 and the Hard Back is just under $50. Hence the expression that we might have made it too nice. Total cost, not including time, fuel and tickets was just over $15,000.00. But the goal was to capture an event in a manner where it would stand the test of time.
