Carroll County (3-2) jumped out to an early 15-0 lead in the first five minutes and never let the visitors get back in the game. Kayla Young scored nine of her game high 14 points in the opening run 🏃♂️.
The lead stood at 21-6 after the opening seven minutes and the Cavaliers did just enough over the second and third quarters to head into the final frame with a 31-17 lead.
Head Coach Kayla Nester received the same energy from her troops during the middle of the game but the shots simply weren’t falling for them.
The offense returned to hyper speed over the closing frame as the Cavaliers outscored PCHS 13-5 to close out the 22 point victory. Faith Clontz joined Young in double figures with 10 points on a night where all five starters netted at least five points. Raylee Goins added eight points, Kenzie McMillan finished with six points, Natalie Burress five points and Laynie-Jo Leonard tallied one as well….
The Lady 👩 Cavaliers are scheduled to return to the court Monday night 🌙 at 🏡 vs Honaker.
