Junior Varsity Softball officially opens Cavalier Park for the season ! Tazewell has made it to The Hill, and 1st Pitch happened at 5:02/ 49°… Lady Cavaliers roll to a 12-2 victory !

Carroll County JV rode the bat of Molly  Montgomery and the right arm of Ava Beamer to a run rule shortened 12 – 2 victory over visiting Tazewell High School.

Beamer went the distance against the Bulldogs, scattering five singles and recording six strikeouts. The Lady Cavaliers played flawless defense behind the freshman.

Offensively, Head Coach Terry Warf received plenty of help as his team matched 12 hits to their 12 runs. Runs were scored by eight of nine spots in the lineup, led by Montgomery, who collected a single, double, and triple with 2 runs scored and three driven in.

Aspen Aldred added two hits, and the one time she was retired was on a rocket 🚀 shot to centerfield.

Ashlynn Smith came to the plate with two outs in the bottom of the fifth inning with Ashton Rodrigue standing on third base. Smith delivered a sharp single to end the game and send the crowd home happy ( cold 🥶 but happy).

Carroll County JV (1-1) will  return to Cavalier Park on Wednesday night to host Fort Chiswell and is currently scheduled to open a Friday night doubleheader along with the varsity team versus Pulaski County.

Monday Morning 🌄 Brew includes the start of a busy week for the Junior Varsity Lady Cavaliers on the 🏡 Softball Diamond 💎! Brittany Kinney and her JV Girls head to the Pitch in Abingdon as well.

Brittany Kinney and our JV Girls Soccer ⚽️ team get their feet wet tonight when they travel down I-81 to Abingdon for a match with the Falcons.

At Cavalier Park, Terry Warf and his JV team are set to play at home FOUR times this week, beginning with a double header today versus Tazewell High School. The first pitch is set for 5pm, and we will be rolling out the 2026 version of our Foul Ball contest that will run throughout the two five inning contests.

Today kicks off a crazy week for us as we have multiple times to be at Cavalier Park ➕️ two cannot reschedule out of town appointments and the Lady Blue Devils are heading out to Sacramento for a Sweet 16 showdown with #2 LSU.

Don’t forget that the Boys Soccer teams play at home on Thursday evening as well.
