The easiest way to set the table for Saturday afternoon at Cavalier Park is to break it down into three sections.
Leading off, from Noon to 1:00 pm, we will look to entertain you with a number of special guests and good natured fun !
The second part of the Afternoon will center around our tweaked Home Run Derby. Last year, the Home Run Derby was fast pitch and while there were some great cuts, there was a shortage of balls leaving the field. This year, there are two added changes with the first one being the pitches will be Slow Pitch and the second change being that any Alumni competing in the Derby can choose to Phone a Friend if you will, by sharing their 10 cuts with a Family member.
Following the conclusion of the revamped Home Run Derby, the actual Softball game will take place !
Before the start, Tiffanie Moore will throw out our Ceremonial First Pitch.
Travis Leath and his Travel Softball team will be running the Concession Stand from start to finish.
Β The players signed up to compete include Katie Belton, Emma Leath, Carlie Beamer, Macie Adkins, Jordan Brown, Eustaica Smith, Autumn Salts, Deana Burcham, Joclyn Gallimore, Hannah Bourne, Alyssa Nunn, Rachel Jaynes and Rebecca Harris.
As we move closer to Saturday afternoon, we will focus on the opening 60 minutes !
