Houston, we have a problem, and the question is, what would Bill Gallimore want to read next ????

It is now 6:46 am. on the 1st day of October. The morning 🌄 Brew is done, so the question is, what’s next ???

Saying Happy Birthday 🎂 to the youngest of our nine grandchildren is the easiest thing to do ! Ronnie turns four today, and I know his mother will make his day as special as possible !

The next story list includes the following thoughts..

  1. Write ✍️ a preview for the volleyball 🏐 matches tonight.
  2. Write ✍️ the next Alumni Day thank you, the one to Eddie and Dakota Walls.
  3. There is a story developing that involves a nice lady, a cat 🐈 that might be a bear 🐻….
  4. Get back to Book #6 by writing ✍️ about Randy Johnson and his No-No in the Kingdome
  5. Or, fall back asleep 😴 until it is time for the next medical appointment….

The question is, which story would Bill Gallimore want to read next ?

One thing that both Bill and I know for sure is that getting old is overrated.

Volleyball starts at 4:30 today, so pushing that story back is probably not the answer. To preview something that already happened….Not Cool ( Thank you, Chuck Leraby )

Sad news to me, but not room for why…

The calendar has flipped,we have a new theme, and we still start things off with our Morning 🌄 Brew !

Thank you to Mr Greg Bolen for being a gracious individual who was comfortable with sitting atop my life’s work ! We even got to hang out once during September, over at Cavalier Park !

Howard Mayo and his Motovational Nugget for the Day :
Travis Osborne and his Bible Verse of the Day :

1 John 1:5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

We are now down to just two remaining guaranteed volleyball nights on The Hill, with the first one taking place tonight.

We will have the pleasure of welcoming the youngest of our three teams to the show tonight as we host Patrick County. This will be the third and final time that all three teams play together at home this season, so it will be a longer night, but it will also involve more families / more fans !

We will have more on the night of volleyball here in a bit, but for now, we wrap it up with our normal sign off….

Have a Blessed Day 🙌😇🙏

Social Studies Teacher
Carroll County High School

It is by design that I leave the bottom of his email 📧 visible ! Yes, Shawn Montgomery is raking in the Big Bucks, running our four cross-country teams, yet he remains humble enough that he continues to teach Social Studies !!

Things that made me smile today !!!

It was five years ago, when Cindy Edwards first asked me about ways that I could make her gymnasium more fun at the home volleyball matches ???.

The first suggestion that I made to her involved the use of her baseline in regard to our introductions of the Lady Cavaliers ! We have been doing this for going on five years now, and it’s a BIG part of our nightly routine.

There is not a single program at Carroll County High School that would turn down more money, but my goal is to find ways to raise the bar without trying to out spend our rivals.

While I lack a college degree and can’t spell my way out of a paper bag, I do know that the folks in Abingdon, Salem, Christiansburg, and Roanoke have more resources than we do.

What does this cost the school or the football program ? NOTTA..

What does it provide ? Just watch and see !!!!
