Varsity Softball Coach Rick Nester checks ✔️ in with his thoughts on the road victory last night 🌙 at Fort Chiswell !
Carroll County leveled its record to 1-1 last night with a 17 – 6 over Fort Chiswell High School. We shared our inside the Numbers information last night, but now we have five thoughts from Coach Nester.
#1 – ” We were able to scout them on Tuesday, so we had an idea 💡 of how we wanted our girls to approach their bats and they followed their instructions from swing number one. “
#2 – ” We were able to score at least one run in all seven innings, I’m not sure how far back you would have to go to find the last time we did that.”
3. ” Emma Harman pitched a complete game and finished with 8 strikeouts and zero walks. 80% first pitch strikes!”
4. ” Our girls did an excellent job of executing our game plan from start to finish.”
5. ” We played well in the field behind Emma as we finished up the night with just two errors. “
