It’s not very often that I start my day in the Atlantic time zone, but that’s the case for the next week (+1). While there will be an all-day party back home, there will be a soccer ⚽️ party here as Canada 🇨🇦 looks to make the Elite Eight for the first time ever.

Paraguay 🇵🇾 and France 🇫🇷 will square off in the late game today as we begin the four day stretch that will take the World Cup from 16 down to 8.

All three host countries have made it to the Sweet 16, but the big difference is that Canada 🇨🇦 will be playing its match down in Houston, Texas, instead of Toronto or Vancouver.

2pm first touch here on the East Coast of Canada 🇨🇦, 1pm back home 🏡.

The thought of all three making it to the next round is a fun one, but none of the outcomes will be easy ones. But each one should be a fun watch !

Tonight it is Pappy Meade and Sons turn to cheer on a game from The Pitch as they are in the Bay area for Australia versus Paraguay 🇵🇾. The rest of the USA 🇺🇸 will have their eyes on Los Angeles !

I’m hoping that 🙏 the Meades have a grand time tonight out in Santa 🎅 Clara. The USA is swapping out 9 of 11 starters tonight, being they have already clinched the #1 spot in their group.

  Soccer ⚽️ has center stage for the next two hours !

It took the Red, White and Blue just over 2:00 to put the biscuit in the basket 🧺 !!!

9:47 – Turkey 🇹🇷 ties it up, 1-1…

31st minute – Turkey 🇹🇷 takes the lead right after we had one disallowed 🚫. Down, 2-1.

Turkey 🇹🇷 leads 2-1 at the break [10:52]. Still scoreless up in Santa Clara.

Gooooooooooooooal in the 49th minute ties it up (3:06)

58th minute brings the guy  one of our McDonald’s cups – Pulisic, into the match !

62nd minute – we want a do-over on that follow attempt after Pulisic made a sensational 1st try

64th minute – airborne save by Turkey!

11:30 pm – Water 💧 break !

Minute #72 – Turkey 🇹🇷 player nearly bent it like Beckam for a goal. Still 2-2.

Minute #77 – Pulisic just wide left and I mean, just….

Turkey wins it in minute 98 of 98…
