Five hours after they pulled the tarp out to cover the field, we are getting ready to return to action 🎬. Duke leads 3-2 in the top of the second, two out and two on….

Let’s do this, again !!!

Arkansas plated five in the bottom of the second, lead 7-3… 5 & 1/2 hours to play 2 innings

Duke gets one back with a solo 💣💣💣, now 7-4

Down 10-4 after 3rd

Duke gets one in the top of the 4th, 10-5. Still no zeros on the board.

We have our first Zero !!! 5:11, end of 4th

Sadly, we have another zero on the scoreboard, mid 5th, 10-5

Arkansas scores another run on a bases loaded force out. 11-5 with two in scoring position…

That 3 run 💣💣💣 flew over my head, cleared the second fence, and is still rolling through the back parking lot.

6 & 1/2 hours to play…

Miss Vega hit a solo Home Run in the top of the first inning to give Duke an early 1-0 lead.

Duke has made it to Oklahoma City for the College World Series once in their brief history of nine years, and the Hogs have never reached the Promise Land. One of these two teams will end the weekend very, very happy, and the other will be thinking woulda, coulda, shoulda.

Softball at the highest level is a fun watch anyway, but when you are surrounded by folks wearing red and making pig like sounds, it takes things to another level !

11:51 – we have our first weather delay in the top of the second inning, Duke leading 3-2.

2:24 CT – tarp still on the field

Exciting time of the year for softball fans as the race 🏁 to Oklahoma City is on!

Here in the Commonwealth, Virginia Wesleyan is 48-0 and chasing a DIII Natty ! #FeartheFish
