Greg Talley checked in with an update from the first Tennis tournament our recent graduate 🎓 Jabin Talley is competing in this weekend.

The younger Tally is set to become the first former Cavalier to play at the collegiate level. Jabin split his opening day matches on Saturday thus earning the right to return on Sunday morning.

Opening match tomorrow is slated for 9:30 am !

Forty plus years of holding a 🎤 has been such a blessing. From the early days of being a DJ to hosting three Podcasts a week and so many stops ✋ along the way. While everytime has a special meaning there are some opportunities that simply mean more.

The Lady 👩 that I call our Guardian Angle, goes by her actual name of Vickey Ritchie. Vickey takes care ❤ of the Carroll County Special Olympics and anytime I can be of assistance to her I consider it an absolute privilege.

Being talked with the challenge of adding to one of her special days is as uplifting as it gets!

Need to say Thank You to the Harris 👪 for helping me free up the afternoon plans by readjusting our plans.

After not taking the field as originally planned on Friday evening, Carroll County made its debut at 3pm today.

Burress was busy live streaming the game for the folks back home so our updates were a little delayed but here is Kevin’s first take on the opening game.

” We lost game 1 to Powahatan 7 to 0. We gave up 5 in the first inning. I think the nerves really got to the girls. We settled in defensively after the first but we just kept hitting the ball straight to them for easy plays. I’m sorry for the lack of updates and pictures I’m having to use my phone to stream the game live. I’ll try to get pics from the parents and send them.”

Hopefully the team is finding away to relax off the field before taking the field again tomorrow.

” We play tomorrow at 1 pm. I’m not sure of our opponent yet.”

Volleyball 🏐 Coach Cindy Edwards has her team participating in a camp down at our beloved Appalachian State University.

Kevin Burress is keeping us up-to-date on the Softball tournament taking place over in South Hill.

” We play Powhatan at 3 pm. The game will be available to watch on GameChanger if anyone wants to watch. The team name is Carroll Co. Angel All-stars.”

Brand New Lady 👩 Cavs Soccer ⚽️ Coach, Adrienne ” Our Future ” Harris is prepping for a grilling interview in a Fun format set for tomorrow.

Shannon Dalton is at the Swimming 🏊‍♂️ Pool with her next generation of Swimmers as they are set to host a meet today.

Casey Burcham signed off on his profile story written this morning 🌄 before we packed up to leave Boone.

I am sure that this are just some of the things that our Youth are involved in today and we will happily share any & all updates sent our way !
