Official CCHS Schedule π Southwest Virginia Community College Hoops is postponed, Randolph College in Lynchburg is still on.Howard Mayo with his Motovational Nugget will appear here shortly.Travis Osborne with his Bible Verse π of the Day :
Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
Congratulations πππ to the University of Virginia for winning game #1,000 !
Alyssa Ervin scored 10 points, grabbed three rebounds and handed out an assist across the first 20 minutes. The Paladins will need to tighten on the defensive side in the second half to close the gap on the Eagles.
End of 3rd, now 57-36 for the Eagles.
72-56 is your final score from Statesboro. Furman University made a strong πͺ run to pull within 12 but couldn’t get over the hump. Still young, still learning how to win on the road. Just like Taylor, they will need to Shake, Shake, Shake this one of.
30 minutes played and 13 points scored but struggled slightly with getting her shots to fall. The team will play βΆοΈ again next Sunday at home π‘.
Notre Dame was the odd team out of the playoffs as Miami prevented the ACC from being shut out. The downside is that the Fighting Irish join our (ACC) Bowl π₯£ Pool.
The top three Bowls for our league are the Pop Tarts Bowl in Orlando, Holiday Bowl in San Diego and the Gator Bowl in Jacksonville. ND(10-2), Virginia(10-3) and Duke(8-5) lead the way but nothing is guaranteed.
*************** Notre Dame says no playoff = no Bowl at all. Feel terrible for the players in this situation but it should help Duke.
Georgia Tech (9-3) and Southern Methodist(8-4), Wake Forest (8-4),Pitt (8-4) Louisville (8-4) are others anxious about the decisions.
California, Clemson & North Carolina State are among the 7-5 teams and we know that California has left our Pool to go to Hawaii.
Indianapolis has switched from one former Duke quarterback (Daniel Jones) to the other one ( Riley Leonard) as Jones is injured vs Jacksonville. Colts fall 36-19 and will now have to travel out to Seattle. Early thought process has Jones out for the season.
Halftime for Furman University is almost over so I will get back to this with updates.
Even after his team ended up on the wrong side of the scoreboard in eleven of its first ball games, Kris Richardson never questioned whether the young Girls he was coaching were moving in the right direction.
Open shots for either team were hard to come by, from start to finish.
Patrick County MS 5 2. – 7
Carroll County MS 13 7 – 20
The score is shown by halves instead of quarters for the time being. It’s my understanding that back home we dealt with bad weather overnight and that means that Kris and his fellow VDOT staff will be keeping odd hours until things get back to normal.
We will circle back to finish up this story once we hear from Kris.
Meanwhile, we just received word from Mr DeHaven that ALL seven of the events on the books π for today have been postponed !
Ladies final: 20-7, Cavalier win! Way to go Ladies!

Safe travels home everyone, back on the court next week with CCMS hitting the road to Radford, the boys tip-off first at 5pm. Lady Cavs take the court at the conclusion of the boyβs game.
We could have labeled it a quadruple header as the Duke University Women play their first game of the season without us in the building.
Another Top #5 opponent in Louisiana State University awaits.
Thank You to Samantha Reed for taking the time to provide me the Middle School Boys book π and before long, Kris Richardson will do the same. We will be able to compile full stories by the A.M. !
Duke opens with an amazing 17-3 run πββοΈ
End of 1st – Duke 24, LSU 20 ! Most of 14 point lead has been erased but a lead is a lead !

The past 30 Days truly have been an Amazing experience already and after four Basketball games, its time for the reason we made the trip back from the desert π. Donaldson Capitol is based out of Evansville, Indiana and we couldn’t be happier with our relationship with them over the years.
A conversation with Derek Riddle turned to Sports one day my friend Duke QB became a topic quickly. Fast Forward to today and we are back here at Lucas Oil Stadium π watching π one of our own play quarterback in the NFL. Brandon Roop is the Man with the Plan down at Donaldson and he is our host today !
Daniel Jones has gone from a Zero Star π high School recruit from Charlotte, North Carolina to where he is today. A number of peaks and valleys along the way, for sure.
The location of the seats πΊ and access to the Club behind us was a last minute perk, very unexpected. It will certainly add a bit to the overall story but the true highlight is getting to show support for someone who you believe in while sitting with people who you believe in !
Jones, playing with a fracture in his leg π¦΅might play the game of his today. It’s an equal possibility that he might throw four interceptions. Either way, Lin and I will board our βοΈββοΈ back to the π later tonight with a smile on our face !
Final Page of a November to Remember!Love π the fact that the Owner on the sidelines with her team !
