We have reached our Goal of taking $100, 000.00 and investing it here in our Area! The last person we have found is the young man πŸ‘¨ that drives this car πŸš—

Now comes the joy of spending the next couple of months dealing with the Accountants as we have to provide all of the correct information on each and every $ along the way. In the meantime…… Best of Luck at the drag strip Trenton Newman !!!

THANK YOU COACH !

Travis Osborne was at the top of my list of people I envisioned being Way Cool and I would like to spend 10 minutes with. Turns out he is beyond Way Cool 😎 and now that list needs a new name on top of it.

The past few days have been whirlwind, even by my standards as the path has gone back and forth across three states but I still had my heart set on stopping at the Middle School 🏫 Softball game on my way back from Beckley today.

Feeling sure that the head Coach would send me a write ✍ up after the game, I wanted to add a few photos to it. I made it back late in the game and starting taking pictures πŸ“· from a distance.

I noticed that I was standing πŸ§β€β™‚οΈ just a few feet from a kind looking gentleman so I inquired as to how the game was going up to that point ?

We started talking back and forth and after a few minutes of this he started to connect the dots and realized who I was and then he informed me that he was Travis Osborne.

Why was it important to me to cross paths with Mr. Osborne ? I quickly found myself appreciating his style of posts πŸ“« on Facebook. Having not met him until today, I believed Travis to be what I like to call OneofUs.

The only noticeable difference between us is we support and pull for college teams that while are located near each other, wear different shades of Blue. But here at home its about God, Family and Cavaliers, regardless of their age. Travis is always trying to share positive thoughts about our Community and that makes him Aces in my book πŸ“–!

Now that I’ve met the person that I had listed as the coolest person in Carroll County that I don’t know, I need a new one and I’m open to suggestions……

Photo πŸ“· credit to Parent, Quotes from Coach as Middle School 🏫 Softball sweeps double header at Blacksburg !!!

Hey man……middle school girls softball won both games tonight in the double header versus Blacksburg……Morgan Osborne got her first win of the season on the mound in the first game….we won 11-10…….Ava Beamer got her second win of the year on the mound in the second game…..we won 16-6……both of these girls work super hard pitching and it’s awesome to see positive outcomes for them both tonight!!

Congratulations πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ Coach Beamer & team !!

Game tomorrow at Home !

The on-going story was titled 6 Banquets and a Meeting… Tonight was the Meeting

The photo πŸ“· above is of recently retired Carroll County High School 🏫 Girls πŸ‘§ Basketball πŸ€ Coach Marc Motley along side Principal Chuck Thompson and Superintendent , Dr Mark A. Burnette.

The Carroll County School Board meets once a month and their April 2024 meeting took place tonight at the Carroll County Governmental Center on The Hill.

It was my first time attending a School 🏫 Board meeting so the entire process was new to me. I had been invited to attend to accept acknowledgment on behalf of Linda and myself. Turns out the segment was called ” Spotlight Moment “

Linda was still working so she couldn’t attend but anytime someone acknowledges your efforts its a good thing. Dr. Burnette read a very kind message describing some of our efforts over the past 3+ years.

Sincere appreciation for the Moment and the way it was presented !
