Good Morning 🙏 🌄 and welcome to Saturday ! This pushes the streak of consecutive days trying to brighten the World 🌎 out to 300 !

Tom T Hall sang the song 🎵 about Memphis many a moon 🌙 ago but it became more relevant to me when Aaron Sorkin turned Jeff Daniel loose with it during the series finale of Newsroom. The past 10 days have provided some zigs and some zags for sure. Stops ✋ in Christiansburg, Lynchburg, Hollins, Strasburg, Dulles, Greensboro and Northern Virginia to name a few. The dust has finally settled and its time for a rare, rare treat – time off ! In Charlotte now and in a few hours I will be boarding a flight ✈️ to the Great White North !!!

It was fun to see 👀 four of the stories written during my recent loops end up on the same page of The Carroll News ! Allen Worrell will create his own story on the Chorus trip and he has some notes 📝 to use.

Six and 1/2 hours on the Bus 🚌 back to Greensboro and then a 90 minute drive 🚗 home 🏡 will conclude the Washington DC Loop.

Rental Car 🚗 turned in and Metro card used to get over to Union Station 🚉

The Harris Family 👪 is also still here but I’m comfortable in saying that they are having more fun.

For those of you wondering, the Bus 🚌 has stopped in Fredericksburg, Richmond and Colonial Heights so far.

Rawlings has a 20 minute break at a Truck ✋Stop (335-355) with a 24 Hour Little Caesars Express.

(4:20 am to 4:27 )- South Hill, Virginia – Change drivers. Only 2 & 1/2 hours left.

Planes, Trains 🚆 and Automobiles 🚘 – I think that was John Candy and Steve Martin back in the day. So far its been a personal car, ✈️, rental van, Metro Train 🚉, Bus 🚌 and then an Uber back to the Airport and finally 75 miles back 🏡🏠🏡.

No regrets here, the concert was both well done and performed for a sensational audience. Military is such a big part of my life and 👀 the Veterans smile with pride in their hearts 💕 was special to say the least.

Welcome 🙏 to North Kakalacky ! Possible next stop ✋ should be the land of the Blue Devils…

Durham, NC – the Bull City. Exit at 5:30, unlike the other stops ✋, this one is well off the Highway 🛣. It took a full 9 minutes to cut ✂️ across town to pull into Durham Station 🚉…

Made it to Greensboro and 1 hour later made it back to the Airport !! Fun 60 minutes of city bus 🚌, walking 🚶‍♂️ and finally an Uber !!

The Chorus should me making their way up towards Washington DC now and here’s hoping that their three day excursion creates a treasure chest full of memories !

Saturday started in Lynchburg with the Track 👣 Meet before the focus shifted over to the ceremony at Hollins University. Part of the head space was focused on an event taking place back in Laurel Fork during the drive up to Strasburg for the next stop ✋ on The Trek.

After working on the Hollins story while attending the Strasburg Express event it was time to head over to Front Royal 🏨 hotel to start on the Lynchburg story.

Finished up with the last story five minutes before it was actually time to report to work with our Night Crew. Normally that part of the work obligation gets handled remotely but last night was an exception.

For 18 hours, in a number of different towns and cities, the mission was to see 👀 if one could brighten the day of some folks along the way?

I know for a fact that the time with our All-Star 🌟 delivery team was enjoyable and made an immediate impact in that there was joy / laughter and everyone was able to get home a few minutes earlier this morning 🌄next stop ✋ is Dulles Airport for Linda’s flight ✈️ back to Missouri and then I can try to retrace my steps 🚶‍♂️ back to Laurel Fork for a minute or two. The journey to begin this loop started on Thursday, I believe.

The goal to make our two Athletes time at the State Track 👣 meet as memorable as possible went as well as it could, at least in my mind. The time with Coach Montgomery and the two families (Delps & Smoots) was very, very pleasant for both Lin and I.

Getting a call 📞 from Ron Cochran about a special, special Day for him was a blessing ❤🙏 because anytime you can brighten a moment for someone that is constantly trying to assist us is what the mission in life is all about.
