Today’s Look at ” I knew them before they became a Rock 🎸 Star 🌟 focuses on Isaiah Easter !

The first in this series was about a brief interview with Rambo Dalton almost two years ago and number two will be on Isaiah Easter.

We are having some fun with the terrific start of 2-0 by the Carroll County High School Cavaliers. Fun note 📝 is that both Duke University and the University of Virginia share 2-0 marks….

Could not be happier for these young Men, their Coaches, their parents and for the Community. Trying to have some fun with them and draw some extra attention at the same time.

Young Mr. Easter has a permanent spot in my Heart ❤ that can’t be removed. That happens when a person actually steps 🚶‍♂️ into something that we are trying hard to create.

Before he became a Rock 🎸 Star 🌟, Easter was the initial person to dawn the Cav Man outfit that we purchased a few years ago. His older Sis, Kaylee and her teammates were playing a Softball game at Cavalier Park and Easter was Awesome in the outfit, start to finish 👏.

After the effort I shared with the young man that he was my favorite Easter. In a split second he responded “As I should Be”.

The makeover of the size and strength of Easter has been astonishing to witness over the years!

So, before he became Famous, Isaiah Easter was just the Mascot at his Sister’s Softball game !

You can catch Easter and Company this Friday night at Tommy Thompson Field – 7pm!

Carroll County High School 🏫 Volleyball 🏐 doesn’t have a Senior Class this year but it does have a Senior Full of Class!

The Hill – Aza Petty and her family 👪 have been cornerstones in Cindy Edwards Volleyball program for a long, long time now. Not just in the Fall months when the School team is playing but across the Calender as the travel ball World that we live in continues to expand, its hard to not find a Petty at a Volleyball event.

For the past few years the Seniors on the Volleyball team have been playing in groups. Sharing the ” Final” or Last Dance 💃 with your friends and teammates adds to the magic of the experience.

Photos 📷 of the past three Lady 👩 Cavaliers Volleyball 🏐 teams.

Aza Petty is a kind soul and a dedicated teammate in addition to being a student of the game. Her four years of being a part of the Lady Cavalier program has included sharing the court with a large cast of players.

Madison Stockner and Kalee Bunn were former teammates that are currently playing in College and Alyssa Ervin would be if it weren’t for her Basketball 🏀 career. Each of them benefited from sharing the court with Miss Petty!

Coach Edwards took the time to share her thoughts on Aza as well –

” Aza Petty is such an amazing young lady who has worked extremely hard in every aspect of everything she’s done.

She is such a fighter from the start of her like to on the court. She has put everything into her volleyball career, starting with a club at the age of around 9 or 10 to known as a senior. To being a true leader She is the first one in the gym and the last one out. Has worked with her day in the weight room and hardly ever takes a day off. Would take a million of her. I have so much respect for her words can’t describe what an amazing your lady.”

We have eight more 🏡 Volleyball matches left, starting with Alleghany on Tuesday night 🌙. Eight more chances to catch Miss Petty and her very young teammates in action 🎬.

Cavalier Volleyball 🏐 is set to say Goodbye 👋 to an amazing young lady 👩 and now you should consider yourself officially invited to the Going Away Party 🥳!

Just like that, Saturday has turned into Sunday…Limited notes from a day of Volleyball 🏐 down in Glade Springs for the Lady 👩 Cavs…

Each season Carroll County Volleyball 🏐 spends a Saturday down at Patrick Henry – Glade Springs for a day stuffed full of matches.

This year it was set for 8/31 but was pushed back until 9/7 and it would appear that CCHS participated in four matches on the day.

Linda had one of her appointments today so I wasn’t down there and sadly nothing found its way to me but having experienced the last two years I do know its a long day for everyone involved.

Wanting there to be something on our site for the regular readers when they wake ⏰ up later today, I went in search of information and landed on MaxPreps.

Because of the number of matches being played throughout the day, they are reduced from Best 3 out of 5 to Best 2 out of 3. The site shows that are squad went 2-2 on the day.

The season has experienced a handful of tweaks so far in having one match (@ Pulaski County) postponed due to illness, this event being pushed back one week and then the Home opener being moved to the Auxiliary Gym.

Hopefully everything will return to normal this Tuesday night when Alleghany comes to The Hill for the Three Rivers District opener for CCHS. Both the JV and the Varsity teams will be in action 🎬 Tuesday night 🌙.

Anyone that made the trek that would like to share thoughts or pics, please 🙏 do so.
