The bottom of the lineup helped Carroll County Junior Varsity Cavaliers capture a 6-0 victory over Alleghany Junior Varsity Cougars on Friday. Hunter Gravley, Chase Hart, and Chanson Rakes combined for four of the team’s seven hits in the victory. They scored one run and drove in five.
Carroll County Junior Varsity Cavaliers won thanks in part to four runs in the fourth inning. a passed ball scored one run, Chanson Rakes doubled, scoring two runs, and Chase Hart singled, scoring one run.
Carroll County Junior Varsity Cavaliers got on the board in the third inning after Hunter Gravley singled, scoring one run.
Bryce Nicholson earned the win for Carroll County Junior Varsity Cavaliers. The starting pitcher surrendered one hit and zero runs over four innings, striking out five and walking five. Joel Bradshaw took the loss for Alleghany Junior Varsity Cougars. The hurler went five and one-third innings, giving up six runs (four earned) on six hits, striking out two and walking three. Jayden Wright tossed three innings of shutout ball for Carroll County Junior Varsity Cavaliers in relief. The pitcher allowed zero hits, striking out five and walking one.
Chase Hart and Chanson Rakes were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for Carroll County Junior Varsity Cavaliers. Carroll County Junior Varsity Cavaliers stole five bases in the game.
Joel Bradshaw went 1-for-3 at the plate to lead Alleghany Junior Varsity Cougars in hits. Alleghany Junior Varsity Cougars had patience at the plate, collecting six walks for the game. Alleghany Junior Varsity Cougars turned one double play in the game.

West Virginia Tech University Baseball βΎοΈ was forced to relocate our game by 50 miles and we managed to pull off a shocking 3-2 victory over league leading Oakland City.
Adam Nester and the Nester Nine improved to 6-0, and it was their five shutout, 6-0 at Alleghany High School.
Casey Burcham and Company defended The Hill, holding Alleghany High at bay. Cody Reece hit a solo Home Run to help build a 3-0 lead and the Cavaliers held on to post another victory.
Down in Tampa, South Carolina is leading Texas 52-41, Midway through the 3rd period. Connecticut versus UCLA is the other National Semi-final.
