Frick and Frack could one way to describe the energy that belongs to our Team Twins this season, and another would be to call them the Boppsey Twins.
Maeli Parker and Milli Parker have a level of energy that is contagious. To hear Hix Miller describe it, they run at that speed from the moment that the day starts and remain at that gear ⚙️ until the end of the night 🌙.
Our dynamic duo brought a level of excitement to the Junior Varsity Lady Cavaliers that I had not seen in previous years. I am not sure if it’s sustainable or not, but let’s hope that it is.
High school 🏫 sports are designed to be fun and competitive at the same time. These two have that part down pat.

From Bayleigh’s first hitting lesson in Aug 2019 to her last in June 2026. #15 is officially done, and my heart breaks. Sure will miss those softball days that I so often took for granted! Thank you so much for representing her and so many others so very well! 🥰
Debbie Odum and Bayleigh Allen have been a part of our Cavalier Park Softball family for a long time ⌛️ and they will be missed. Yes, the goal has been to try and create a ” safe space ” for our softball student athletes, their families, and for our opponents and their fans.
Life is full of people and events designed to steal your joy if you let them. The graduate 🎓 class of 2025 – 2026 was as likable as one could ask for, and if our efforts made their time on The Hill, even an ounce, more memorable, then it was worth the efforts !
The number of things that fall under the title of Undisputed are few and far between. But Varsity Softball Coach Rick Nester is THE MAN who brought home the initial State Championship to The Hill.
To expand on this, barring a remarkable jump in population down the road, the Class 4 State title will be a ” stand alone ” crown 👑 in addition to being the first one.
Dave Quesenberry, Cindy Edwards, and Jeff Tobler were all on the staff back in the day. Mr Chuck Thompson was our Principal and Darrin Mathews, our athletic director.
It was just a few years into a rather bizarre pairing between a tough as nails head coach with a brutal reputation for demanding the absolute best from his student athletes and the Girls Softball team. Thompson and Mathews had a vision that had many scratching their heads and jokes about the players all needing to stock up on mascara from the tears 😢😭😪.

What does it take to capture a State Championship ? A perfect blend of determined coaches and players will give you a boxers chance. Most people believe that the higher the classification, the more difficult the task is, but that is debatable, and this post 📫 is about undisputed.
Nester has something that will stand the test of time, and that is a fact ! Everyone would be fortunate to have something next to their name that will never go away. A few years ago(2023), Coach had a realistic shot at making back to the Promised Land, but staying injury free is part of the recipe for success.
The odds of winning a book end State Championship is a long shot at best, but as they say, that’s why we play the games.
A tip of the cap to fellow head coach Marc Motley and his back 2 back Championships with Alyssa Ervin and Friends, but everyone will always remember their first !
The Class of 2027 will include Addie Greene, Laynie-Jo Leonard, and Natalie Burress, who are preparing to leave their final mark on our program. Hopefully, they will do so with an eye 👁 on the history of Coach Nester and the program !

Vickey Ritchie sent in an uplifting note 📝 yesterday that included both Kevin DeHaven and Brett Petty !
Today, during the wrap-up (retrieving equipment from the Track Classic), Kevin DeHaven stopped by to congratulate Brett from CCSO on being such a good worker.
Then, he proceeded to tend to the soccer ⚽️ pitch himself. It won’t be long before Tommy Thompson Field returns to be the gridiron for Carroll County High School football !
Mr DeHaven is wearing a souvenir from his recently completed trek out to Omaha, Nebraska, for the College World Series !
