The medical πŸš‘ explanation of 90 Days in the Desert 🏜 will become its own Page on the site but I will answer a few questions about the circumstances that led to it.

When I say that my efforts with my site aren’t about me, I offer exhibit one in that my name doesn’t appear anywhere on my site. As Tauren Wells sings – “its not about me”.

It was 17 years ago that I created our site and every day since then, I have made it my life’s mission to use my words and my voice for Good. Sadly, during this period of time my health and that of my wife have suffered major setbacks. I don’t write about these things because I try to be uplifting in everything that I do or say.

The latest Pill πŸ’Š prescribed by my Doctor raised the total to 30 taken on a daily basis. This one has led to a series of problems, including messing with my ability to walk without a cane. But I thought that I could work through it like I had done with all of the other ones.

Sadly, I was mistaken about that. The need to try and unplug for an extended period of time was obvious and here we are, set to spend 90 Days in the Desert 🏜, in hopes of getting a little bit better than I am now. The good news is that on Day #11 I am starting to see improvement in the numbers that keep the Doctor worried.

Β  Three or four people who have not seen me around had reached out and asked so here is the one-time answer. I am not doing well but I’m sure trying hard to get better !

How does this effect my efforts with my site ? It just makes me a bit more dependent on others to help me create content to share. There are oh sooooooooo many things in Carroll County to be proud of and I’m trying hard to share as much of it as possible with the folks that don’t live on Social Media.

This Buffalo πŸƒ pictured above is one of a couple dozen spread around St. George and each day I try to maximize my exercise by hiking around the City and finding as many as possible.

March 1st will be the end of the 90 Days and then it will be time to return to the Doctor so we can create a new plan going forward. The page I mentioned will allow those who have a genuine interest in my well being to follow along. The goal is to walk πŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈ 1.35 Million Steps πŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈand avoid all of the poor choices that one makes when trying to work around the Clock ⏰.

Hopefully that answers πŸ™ some of the questions about what’s going on in life.

Thursday, December 11th has multiple Cavalier events on the Calender and they’re all listed in the Morning πŸŒ„ Brew

Swimming πŸŠβ€β™‚οΈ and all three Middle School teams look to compete, weather permitting!
Travis Osborne with his Bible Verse of the Day :

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

All five of our College Hoopsters have the evening off.

Howard Mayo and his Motovational Nugget will appear here shortly :

Have yourself a Blessed Day πŸ™Œ

Wednesday Night πŸŒ™ Hoops with Elijah Cox and his Wildcats teammatesΒ  host Virginia Southern University. Our Cavalier is in the starting lineup tonight !! Saved by the Bell πŸ””: The Cavalier College Years!

FloCollege has the game tonight and while not everyone has two extra hours to spare, I do and will do my best to describe the efforts from our oldest College Hoopster..

Wildcats trail 11-6 at 15:57, clock ⏰ stopped for injury..

Randolph enters the night πŸŒ™ at 3-5. Cox is in his Junior season and his second one in Lynchburg.

Three point swish from Cox ties πŸ‘” the game at 11-11. Cox enters the night averaging 10.0 points per game and has seen an increase in minutes played as of late.

For those who aren’t familiar with Randolph College, its a D3 program that is located in Lynchburg, Virginia and competes in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference. The home Gymnasium is small, with a capacity of 400 but can get loud.

Wildcats leading 22-20 @ Media TO (9:59).

If you are a fan of offense, this is your kind of a game ! Both teams running πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ up and down, hoisting plenty of 3’s.

Here for the evening so feel free to check back in later.

At the break, Wildcats leading 38-37 and Cox has 5 points, 1 rebound and 1 assist across 14 minutes of play ▢️.

Back from the break at 6pm sharp, 8pm in Virginia.

Why is Cox such a relevant piece of the Anthony Barnes story ? No one knows how long Coach Barnes will remain at Carroll County High School or how many players will move on to play at the next level but Cox will always be the first to play under Barnes on The Hill and then move on to do the same at College.

Cox has needed to retool his game at the collegiate level because 6’5 is massive in High School 🏫 but not so much in College. Going from playing with your back to the basket 🧺 to playing on the wing has been a challenge but so far so good.

Under 12:00 Media TO, Wildcats leading 58-57. Just a heads-up about FloCollege – they leave their πŸŽ€πŸŽ™πŸŽ€ hot πŸ”₯ during the breaks so you will hear plenty of background conversation.

Cox just drained another 3-Ball at 10:00 to spark a mini run πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ, lead now 69-61

13-4 run πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ across 3 minutes = 71/61!!

Shout out to the Family πŸ‘ͺ

SVU hits consecutive 3’s, lead down to four and Wildcats call TO at 6:48

SVU extends its run πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ to 14-0 and Wildcats call πŸ“ž another TO at 5:06

Elijah picked up his 4th foul at 6:19 and didn’t return until 1:39. Cats down 86-82.

Entering game now has 0:53.3 left at the home team trails 90 -85. Cats 🐈 will need to foul down the stretch.

Southern Virginia University will head back up the road to B-Vista with a 95-87 victory over Randolph College.

Cox finished up with 25 minutes played, 8 points, 1 board and 1 assist πŸ‘
