Update from our Athletic Director Kevin DeHaven : High School games are still on but the Middle School 🏫 games have been called off for today.

Hello! We have received word from Coach Brown that there will be no CCMS basketball games today due to Rural Retreat having to close schools for weather.

I do not know if the games will be rescheduled, I will let you know asap what that decision is announced.

Meanwhile, fingers crossed the Cavaliers will return to the court tomorrow night for a make-up game against Christiansburg. At home on Main Street, Hillsville, the boys will start off the evening at 4:30pm, with the Lady Cavs immediately after.

Final Update :

So, my apologies! I had a game penciled in on my calendar, but apparently that one is not happening. I completely missed the message about that.

So the CCMS Basketball teams will be back in action on Wednesday, playing at Fort Chiswell with the girls starting off at 5:30 PM.

So we have one more last chance to root, root, root for our Kiddos on Wednesday.

Just like that, the final week of the Middle School 🏫 Basketball 🏀 season is upon us ! Here’s hoping that we get the final two games in…

December 4th isn’t all that long ago as that was the night that Patrick County traveled to The Hill to challenge our Younger Cavaliers.

Three times since that night 🌙, weather has blocked 🚫 the path to more CCMS Basketball. That brings us to tonight when we try once again to play games.

Monday and Wednesday are the dates on the calendar for games with tonight set to be the 🏡🏠🏡 finale.

It wasn’t all that long ago that it felt like the Middle School Basketball teams were playing everyday but now it feels like they haven’t played in a Month. Here’s hoping that both squads will return to action 🎬 later today !

I am not sure where to begin but this year’s Madrigal Dinner is one that we will never forget.  Words can not even begin to describe how proud I am of these kids.  Any time I say that I couldn’t be prouder, they soar above and beyond expectations. 

     Despite not being in school the entire week of the dinner, these young people memorized their lines, worked on their songs, and we met together to practice when they could.  Because of their dedication, determination, and love for what they do, they were able to give two incredible performances!   They made me laugh and made me cry (happy tears) and constantly reassured me by telling me, “Mrs. Lineberry, we got this!” 

   And they did!  I wish I had the words to express how much I appreciate and adore these kids!   This is a special group of young people and certainly have a very special place in my heart!Wow I am speechless about the performance yesterday!!!  This is my third year watching this and they continue to amaze me. 

   Watching my daughter do two things she loves in one day was priceless!!!  Her impression of high school musical 😂!!!  I believe this event will be something I will keep coming to even without my child being in it !! Mrs Lineberry is the best and her students are so blessed to have her!!!!
