Mitch Reed and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes ✝️ have quite a Night planned on October 1st !

Β  The fall of any given year is as busy as it gets for me so when I received this from our new Friend Mitch Reed I could only hope that there was nothing on the Calender on October 1st.

Β  I won’t be able to attend because our CCHS Volleyball team has a home match that night but that commitment doesn’t hinder me in regards to trying to help Mitch get the word out.

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes does so much for our Youth across both Southwest Virginia and the rest of the Country. Here is an opportunity to be in the room and get a closer look at just what the Organization is all about.

The common denominators between Mitch Reed and myself is that we are both Men on a Mission and are Father’s to a large number of our own children ( Mitch wins, 7-5).

Β  October 1st will be an evening full of people that are chasing the same passion and I believe that πŸ™ being in the room will be uplifting to say the least.

Β  That night on The Hill we will have 17 Junior Varsity and 12 Varsity Volleyball 🏐 players in action 🎬 and I take my responsibility to them very seriously. So I won’t be able to stand next to Mitch Reed and his Friends but know that its a room you will enjoy being in !

Keep up the great work, my Friend !!πŸ™

The Carroll News runs the story about our Final Push ahead of our November 3rd deadline. Allen Worrell and Kristen Quesenberry teamed up well to frame the story !

Page 1, below the fold and continued on Page 2 of last weeks newspaper πŸ“°.

Β Β  Everything depends on timing and unfortunately we didn’t catch a break on this one. While it was great to make the front page with our latest and final project, it came at a time where the lead story was a HOT πŸ”₯ TOPIC.

Β  The $3.5 million dollar πŸ’΅ proposal for a new swimming πŸŠβ€β™‚οΈ pool reduced everything else to an afterthought but that’s life and you play the hand you are dealt.

The final $10,000.00 of our $150,000.00 attempt to make a difference has been earmarked for the Academics / Clubs at Carroll County High School 🏫.

Β  That much we knew going in but I will be the first to admit that the teamwork involved in implementing the process to distribute the money πŸ’° and recognition is priceless !

Β  Kudos to the Administration Team for coming up with a plan that captures the very essence of what Linda and I hold near and dear to our hearts πŸ’•. Kindness and compassion for one another while focusing on education is a rare combination and this plan addresses all of the above !

Β  The money πŸ’° will be distributed $1,000.00 at a time across the 10 months of School with each dollar going towards a Club or cause that is away from the Athletic side of the building.

Β  Also fun to have the chosen person or people for a given month to have their πŸ™Žβ€β™€οΈπŸ™Žβ€β™‚οΈ face sit atop our site for a month !

Β  Looking forward to seeing this in place for the first time when the person / people chosen are revealed to us.

Dance, Chorus and every over program within the school 🏫 will be eligible to receive part of the money from the beginning of the School year to the end.

Β  Thank You to Chuck Thompson, Kristen Quesenberry, Jay Holderfield and Kevin DeHaven πŸ™ for their efforts with this project ! It was an easy thought to want the last thing done be solely about what matters the most.
